Abe Changes

Abe has been native for a while now, so something must have changed. I think that he might have grown a few feathers and maybe gotten a little bit more colourful. What do you think has changed about abe's appearance?

Aside from his voice changing, he looks alittle more round than oval like he used to...(yes it may not make sense but thats how I see it.)

Abe actually looks a little bit more stronger than he used to. To me at least.

He seems stronger in MO than previeous games. Remember he was a weakling in AO but after the Big Face turned him into a hero, I am sure his phisical appearence has changed too. I mean now he can bounce around like never before. Thats sign of strength improvement.

ive noticed everything said so far... and also the fact he now has teeth (that you can see anyway) and his feet and hands are bigger

he can also stand on the bottom of slopes while they are changing from horizontal to vertical... he couldn't do that before

oh wait, there was nowhere TO do it before anyway

What about the tattoos?

In AO, they were these little dinky tribal sketches, now they are more elaborate, and look a lot cooler too.

On Abe's page, it says that the tattoos grow as he grows, so is it possable that the Paramite, Scrab, and "Whatever-it-is" tattoos will become even more elaborate?

as for the tattoos, theyv been disscussed in dear alf, they grow bigger over time

besides theyre sacred and magical, who says they cant grow more elaborite

It's way easier to just say " Hey ya chumps!" They get up and follow you, no questions asked. I think that the scrubs have more faith in Abe, no persuading muds to get up or telling them your sorry, and you didn't even do anything to them!( Unless you smack them around a little bit!

I would also tend to agree with that. Now seeing him even with all those tattoos, he looks a bit stronger, and could be some sligs silly. Which makes me wonder why everyone feels abe is an unlikely hero. I mean he was when he started off being a floor waxer and a slave. But now he tends to look more like a true freedom fighter, and a strong willed mud, that does get scared at times.

Also I should scan a magazine cover from a couple years ago that previewed munch for PS2 it has a drawing someone did for the cover, and ABE is really really buff.

As for abe growing feathers. I personally dont want to see that, I think his orange ponytail and distinctive color blueish green is good, and his orange eyes. I think its better for him to look different from the other muds, and stick out.

I doubt Abe would have the time to get in touch with his native self (I.E. grow feathers and stuff), since he's constantly saving entire races and all.

Plus, I don't think OWI would want to change him that drastically. He's so recognizable to people now, and he's original enough as it is.

I think Abe should keep changing but only a little bit, like he did from AO to AE to MO

I don't know if Abe is actually stronger than he used to be, although all that pulling up ledges would presumably have helped puff up the muscles. I have noticed that Abe is a lot more padded out, though. Either he went through Mudokon puberty and grew outwards a bit or he's been able to eat a lot after his days of malnutrition in RuptureFarms slavery.

Abe will always keep his feathers in a ponytail, though, because it's a symbol of what he used to be and what the Mudokons are fighting again, and also a grim reminder of what will happen should he fail his duty to Oddworld.

Yep thats the one, the article has a pretty good interview with Lorne(very out of date though), and also some really good pictures from the original game, and a slig health status chart.
