Waiting...

*Setting: The night sky was like a blanket strewn across the morning sky as if tucking it in. The moons lit up the forest area and partially the village. Leaves were blown gently in the wind and the smell of Mudokons was in the air.

*Thump*

His feet hit the leaf ridden ground and his wings beat softly. The beast had found what he was looking for, but it was not what he had hoped. Infront of the large Dragon God stood a wooden statue, it towered over him, at least 8 or 9 foot and was of a Slig. A genetically enhanced Slig. Spider. Obitus grunted something as he stepped closer, running his claws over the fine craftsmenship. His breathing steadied as he stared.

Obitus: "Spiiiider..."

His words were a hushed whisper, his nostrils flaring as he said these words. His eyes scanned downwards and he noticed a small engraving.

'Spider was murdered and in the end so shall his murderers.'

He tilted his head, puzzled. Wondering how a beast such as Spider could stop him, a God, but not some crude murderers whom, he pressumed were nothing short of mortal. He shrugged this thought off, not caring too much. So long as his nemesis was dealt with he didn't care. Turning his back on the statue he beat his wings and leapt into the darkness. Disappearing with nothing more than the beating of wings...

***

*Setting: Under a small shrub lay a young Reptilian, he breathed gently. He was on his back, vulnerable to any potential threat, but that was highly unlikely. He was too well hidden to be noticed by potential predators and thus he was able to sleep easy. His tail twitched and he slowly opened one eye, his left eye. Growling he stood, not really caring for the thorns that were defending this shrub but intrigued by the sense of excitement that he was suddenly feeling. Gently he slipped out of the bush and shook himself off, the fatigue being cast aside also. He blinked and looked around...noticing the feeling was pushing himself into a certain direction. It was as if he couldn't control what he was feeling, as if it was dragging him into a Vortex of pleasure. Gently he took a step in the Easterly direction, moonlight hitting his back and reveling in his scales. Another step was taken. And then he procceeded walking, his mind filled with this feeling, his senses subdued and his heart pumping wildly. He was venturing into the unknown and it was thrilling him...*

Explanation;
When Lance came through into the normal Oddworld Dimension he was abit ahead of time. So, he travelled back through time. Obitus is in the time were Spider is dead and the statue has been erected. Its quite complex...

Anymore questions? Or statements? Or random randomness?

Part 2

The excitement had worn off and once again fatigue had taken over. The Reptilian licked his lips and searched around for a patch of soft grass or mud to rest in. He had treked for a good few miles and was now eager to rest his head and sleep. Yawning he stumbled towards a tree and grasped onto the bark with his claws, he clambered up it readily, slowly disappearing amongst the leaves and branches. Once up into the tree he leapt to a thick, over-hung branch and positioned himself so that he could lay down on it without falling off. A yawn escaped his tired muzzle and his eyes gently closed.

***

Obitus: "He is getting closer..."

*Setting: The God was pacing back and forth in his lair. His followers were bowed around him, with only Melik stood. He had his hands crossed over his stomach and was looking down. Showing respect.*

Obitus: "Soon he will be in my grasp and i shall be able to storm the Dracconic realm...and beat those lowly Gods down as i reclaim my place there."

Melik glanced upwards and mumbled agreeingly, this was closley followed by the others mumbling, agreeing to all their God stated.

Obitus: "And this bracelet is the key..."

He growled lowly raising his arm to view the silver bracelet.

Melik: "My-my Lord, how exaaactly is the child going to help our caaause?"

He glanced upwards briefly before once more casting his eyeline down.

Obitus: "Allow me to show you, come."

His servant stepped forwards. Towards the outstretched arm of Obitus, his hand raised and met the Gods. Immediatly there was a surge of red electricity and Melik's body juttered ferociously, he tried to pull away but Obitus grasped his hand harder, pumping more and more of his power into the being. Images flashed before Melik's eyes...

Vision:
Black beasts soared across the night sky, dipping in and out of the moonlit clouds, brandishing scythes and other assault weapons. Red pin-pricks could be seen from the distance, pressumably where their eyes were. Cawing came from all around him, he turned, seeing more of these beasts emerge from the shadow, striking down warriors whom were trying to beat them away, stop them from proceeding, halt their progress. And then one of these winged-terrors landed. Its feet bandaged and its body muscly. Its legs were straight and smooth, its tail brandishing spines on the end. Its eyes were pointed and red, like that of a shard of glass. Its snout was long and its teeth sharp, it called out. Called into the darkness. Its wings beat and the beasts large, pointy ears twitched (think of Freya's ears from FF9). Turning from side to side. Its arms flexed and the rippled as it called out. Then darkness...

Melik: "Wha...Whaaat waaas thaaat?!?"

The beast was obviously shocked and looked up at the smirking face of Obitus.

Obitus: "That was the future..."

Canned Gabbiar, please stop warning people. I understand you may have been confused but why dont you PM Jacob asking why something is the way it is. Posting is irrelavent when you accuse a writer or artist of what they are creating. Especially In Fan Corner. Authors and artists have their own way they can create, and they should not have to always explain themselves. Anyone who creates something in FC has freedom of expression here. Since you are new and getting aquainted, this is a reminder. And you have been actively involved around the forums. Instead though in posts like your one in here create a new one that gives actual feedback to what he has written.*deletes earlier post* I understand your on a mission to make things make sense but everyone has different views.

And Jacob another fine story in the works continue whenever possible.

Part 3

*Setting: The beast yawned and shook itself off. It had walked far and wide, hunting for food, looking for water. It was a Reptilian, a sleek black predator designed for running down its prey and sufficiently killing them. Scanning the area it looked for something to eat, for something to drink...anything would suffice it. And then it saw, saw a child. It was dark grey with a neon plume, a female. No older than 7. She was walking along a worn, traveller made track, towards a field of Corn and other crops. The hunter snarled. It was stood on a small mound that was situated infront of a large forest. Its eyes scanned the area, noting the quiet village and Berry trees scattered on the outskirts of it. Breathing gently it stepped forwards and was immediatly confronted by a mass of death. It shook its head, closed its eyes and grunted. Its head ached and the sharp, deadly claws on the beast retracted and unsheathed. It was an experience the creature had never felt before and as it looked up, through squinted eyes, it saw...saw the village burned to cinders. Saw the corpses of its Mudokon residents strewn on the ground, their bodies riddled with bullets. Saw the crops burned and oblitorated, the trees cut down, the soil raked up by some sort of vehicle and/or machine. Injin growled and backed away, knowing that this would, eventually, come true. And with a low bark he turned and ran into the forest, disappearing from all that could have viewed. He leapt over clumps of mud and fallen trees and branches. Quickly making his way away from the village and away from the danger it seemed to ooze...*

***

*Setting: Gunshots rang out from outside the cave. Obitus sat intently on his rock-like thrown, cooing over the future that was nearing with increasing speed. The Orkhids were trying to reclaim the woodland that was currently populated by Reptilians. The current followers of Obitus were all safely in the cavern, hiding from the guns and Grenades that the Orkhids wielded. However the Orkhids were fighting something. Something they believed to be the enemy. Something that was nothing more than the power of the God himself. He was projecting the images of Reptilians out into the forest, making the Orkhids believe that they were fighting something. However, his plan was much more sinister than this, and as he closed his eyes and placed his Astral body in the woodland he looked on at the Orkhids attacking the magicly formed Reptilians. Since it was night time the hallucinations would drop to the ground and disperse without drawing much un-needed attention. The Orkhids were currently on foot, and moving through the woodland fireing at anything that moved. Obitus was making the hallucinations come from the West, thus drawing the troops away from the cave in which he currently resided in. But causing them to go into the direction of the Reptilian nesting grounds. He watched silently as the Orkhids moved towards the nesting grounds, unleashing torment upon, what they thought, were their enemies. With a low growl he allowed his Astral body to go back inside his physical one. His eyes slowly opened and he looked at his followers, his claws clenched tightly. Everything was going to plan...*

Part 4

*Setting: The Reptilian decoys were working as planned. The Orkhid infantry was moving forth, firing upon anything that moved and being carefully lead away from the cavern. Upto now there had been no casualties and due to the races arrogance they believed that this was due to their skill and plan of action. Large Jeeps and UV's glided overhead, quickly making their way to ground in which they could land and disperse more Soldiers. Some of the troops hung out of the UV's, as they glided overhead, and took aim at the Reptilians from above, firing mecilessly. Two of the lead Soldiers in the Forest pushed their way through the foilage. Their guns equipped with lasersight and torches they quickly scanned the large area, searching for hostiles. Hearing a chirp one spun to his right, the torch beamed out brightly, lighting up even the darkest of areas. His pale pink lips slowly turned into that of a smile. His light was trained upon a 5 week old Reptilian. It was hiding fearfully underneathe a mass of leaves and twigs. Slowly he stepped forwards, branches and dry foilage cracking and crunching underfoot. The lasersight beamed out and hit the beings neck. He crouched to steady his rifle.
*Rapid gunshots*
He turned to see his partner firing into the shrubs at the side of him. He smirked, knowing the Reptilians would never survive this onslaught of Soldiers. Turning back he prepared to finish the job, but now there was an obstacle in the way, in the form of a Reptilian male. A quick swipe of its left paw and the Soldiers gun was severed in the middle. He fell backwards and started to scramble towards his partner, he shouted, trying to get his voice above the sound of gunfire that was being emitted from all around the woodland...*

***

*Setting: Injin sped through the forest, Orkhids were penetrating the woodland from every direction. Their guns seemingly spewing bullets into the direction of anything that moved. He leapt around wildly, trying to avoid the projectiles the best he could. Seeing a thick-barked tree with potential cover he made his way up, digging his claws into the bark and crawling up verticly. He looked down, Orkhids were running around now, stopping from time to time to fire in the opposite direction. Injin growled, he carefully manovered himself onto a branch and then stepped across it. He then leapt to another branch, and then another. Quickly making his way through the forest. Transport vehicles hovered overhead, making the Reptilian aware of potential attacks from above aswell as below. Leaping to the trunk of another tree he clasped the bark and carefully shimmied his way around it. Stopping when he smelt something weird. He breathed in through his nostrils and tried to remember the scent that he was inhaling. He looked down and around and as his eyes settled on a young Reptilian he remembered. It was the smell of a Hatchery. A nesting ground. It brought vivid memories of his childhood back to him, of the time he ran away and how his family chased him down. He growled lowly and his thoughts quickly cleared with the help of more gunfire. He then looked at the young Reptilian once more. It wasn't that old, 5-6 weeks at the most. A beam of light landed on it, making it clearer to see. Injin looked at it, his heart pounding as he prayed for the light to be from something else and not an Orkhid Soldier. It wasn't. The troop moved forwards steadily, oblivious to the Reptilian whom was watching from the tree above. He flicked on his lasersight and carefully crouched down. Looking around the observer tried to see if its parents or Hatchery-Guards were anywhere near...they weren't. This struck the beast as weird, Reptilians are very protective of their young and would thus fight to the death to protect them. This even applied to Injin, his paternal instinct was starting to kick in and as the gunfire of another collegue distracted the Orkhid, he jumped down. Landing almost quietly on the soft ground. The troop turned to face the young Reptile once more, yet this time saw Injin. He growled, swiping at the gun and cutting it in the middle. The troop fell back stunned and began to scrabble backwards to his partner, hoping to get help. He shouted and turned his head upwards to his friend. The second Orkhid turned and looked at the first. They conversed over the gunfire and then the first turned back to were Injin was. Nothing. The Reptilian adult had gone, along with the child.*

***

Melik: "Well, sire? Haaas the plaaan succeeded??"

Obitus' closed eyes opened slowly. He snorted. Sat on his rock throne with Melik balancing on an uneven rock to his right he had watched Injin and what he had done. The God shook his head slowly, his claws dug into the rock armrests with pure frustration.

Melik: "I-Im sure he will do, som...AHHGGRRRR!!"

Obitus quickly raised the back of his right claw and hit Melik in the chest, sending him sailing through the air and hitting the cold, hard ground of the cavern. The Reptilian slowly picked himself up and then bowed down to the God.

Melik: "Very well, m'lord."

Part 5

*Setting: The child chirped to itself, watching two Fireflies dance around wildly with each other. It was black and had gray scales lining its back and tail. Its small, beady blue eyes blinked, turning to Injin who was lying down, nawing on a bone. They were hiding out in a small burrow that had been dug into a hollow tree. The entrance was a small hole in the trees bark and then went down underground, not far. But far enough to avoid contact with the swarming Orkhids. Every so often Injin would leave the burrow to find some food, choosing to steal the rations of Soldiers or drag corpses of dead animals back. Sometimes even picking Berries or Apples off of trees. He chose not to kill the troops, favouring the stealth approach. His killing instinct tended to be subdued until he was forced to kill, never had he killed in cold blood and he never intended to...*

Reptilian Child: "Foozld...Foozld..."

Bounding upto Injin it asked for 'food'. Being so young and only used to hearing the Reptilians native language, its speech and language was abit hard to understand. But with the 3 weeks Injin had spent with it, he had learned to understand its needs and wants. Slowly climbing to his feet he nodded and headed towards the entrance of the burrow.

Injin: "Remember, stay here. Dont make any noises or venture outside...no matter what."

He spoke to it firmly, so far it had kept itself out of trouble. But every so often Injin got the feeling that something bad would happen, and his feelings usually became realism within a short amount of time...

***

*Setting: The Orkhid troops had set up camps all around the perimeter of the forest, not content with just driving the Reptilians out of their homeland they felt the need to destroy them. They planned to sell the corpses to clothes stores or meat processing plants. Hoping to make a tidy profit with their killings, but so far no corpses had been found, even though the troops had sworn that they had killed many. Even though they could not sell the bodies, they had found the nesting grounds. This in itself was a bonus as they could sell the eggs to egg collectors. Or to pet stores. Either way they made abit of money. Right now however two Orkhid males and a female had found a cave. It looked empty, but they had been ordered to check out any place that could be deemed as living quaters for the Reptilians and frankly a cave could be deemed such a thing. The Soldiers were all wearing kevlar and body armour. They carried AK's that were strapped to them with a leather strap and were cautious when they began to enter the domain that could possibly hold hostiles. They all wore helmets, their visors were up however so they could see clearly inside the dank, dark lair. Although the Sun was out and it was relativly bright outside, the cave blocked most of this light, making it difficult to see with a tinted visor blocking their vision.*

Soldier #1: "You notice anything different?"

He was infront of the other two and was looking around the rocky interior, trying to see any signs that would give him a clue to any inhabitants.

Soldier #3: "Yeh, the bad smell...it reaks in here."

She held her hand over her mouth and nose as she spoke, looking around the cave as she wandered towards the back of it. So far everything seemed empty and no sign of life was apparent. The second Orkhid walked towards one of the walls, something had caught his eye. Scratch marks.

Soldier #2: "Hey, hey guys...come over here..."

He turned to them, gesturing them to come towards him as he ran one of his fingers over the markings. He turned back to it and then stood back, more of these marks were further up the cave wall. Then finally he realised why, up in the shadowy concealment of the ceiling glowing eyes blinked. A tail swayed from side to side on the wall, the owner concealed by the dense shadows. He slowly began to raise his AK up in the air, but doing so caused alarm to the beings hidden away...
*Shhhup*
The arrow was shot down from the darkness, embedding itself in the Soldiers right shoulder. He winced in pain, bringing his gun up quicker and firing. His two, startled, partners span around franticly. Quickly following suit when they realised what the commotion was.

Voice: "SILENCE!!"

A blast of light was emitted from somewhere on the ceiling, flowing over the attackers and causing their guns to stop emitting any sound. The female and first male stopped firing and looked at each other in puzzlement. The entire cave was soundless and that meant that the Reptilians could fight without having to worry about nearby forces hearing and coming to help. From the middle of the shadows on the ceiling dropped Obitus. He had silenced the cave and now he was going to finish off the intruders. The moment he dropped down to the ground the Orkhids could feel his overwhelming pressence. They turned, looking at his Dracconic splendour. The second male stopped firing to reload his gun, but before he got time to unload that clip, the Reptilians had dropped down on him, ripping him apart silently. The remaining two pointed their guns at the God and began to circle around him, the female circling to the left and the male to the right. Unphased by their weapons Obitus merely smirked. The rest of the Reptilian horde were jumping down from the ceiling now, not attacking the intruders but spectating and awaiting for their God to make his move. The female reached back into the back of her belt and brought out a radio, she then attempted to speak into it. But due to the mute spell that Obitus had cast, ultimatly failed. He smiled calmly and brought up his arms, his claws outstretched as their weapons snapped off their straps and flew into his claws. Melting at the touch of his skin. and making a pool of black metal on the cave floor.

Obitus: "Your kind are the worst..."

He muttered this lowly, his head moving from side to side as he watched the Soldiers reactions.

Obitus: "Well, aren't you going to fight for your lives...?"

He purred these words, his eyes glowing red as he did so. Slowly the male began to reach behind him were his holstered 9mm was. He looked at the female and nodded to her, she knew the plan, they had spoke about a similar scenerio when they were patrolling together back at the base, although they never counted on the fact they'd be fighting with something that could wield magick. It was her job to distract the powerfuller party, whilst he acted. She rolled back her shoulders and psyched herself up for what she was about to do and with a silent scream, ran towards the God. Obitus smiled and waved his arm towards her, releasing two red Orbs joined together with a string of electricity. As she ran the two Orbs went either side of her, pulling the electricity towards her at a high velocity. Within seconds the string of electric had gone through her waist and the two Orbs hit a nearby rock, charring it. The female began to slow down, her eyes filled with pain and her face crunched up, she slowly rose her hands to her mid-section, blood trickled out of the corners of her mouth and wifts of smoke came from her waist. Then from the waist above her torso slid backwards and her legs fell forwards. Blood gushed out of both sections and immediatly the Reptilians dove on the two halves of the corpse to feast. The male felt ill. He had watched his friend be murdered in the most brutellest way. Rage fuelled up inside of him, he grasped the handle of the gun, brought it up and pulled the trigger. Flashes from the nozzle indicated that the gun was working even though no sound was apparent. The bullets hurtled towards Obitus and as they closed in, curved in different directions and began to orbit the Gods pressence. Flying around him so fast that they were nothing but a blur. The Orkhid unloaded somemore rounds, his eyes now watering with anger and frustration.

Obitus: "Thankyou..."

The God smiled and puffed out his chest. The bullets swarmed around his body somemore and then hit his chest, disappearing under the skin without any sign of impact. Now the God turned to face the Soldier head on, but instead of a dramatic battle, merely blinked at the troop. And as he did so the Soldiers head exploded. Scattering brains, bones and blood everywhere. The headless corpse then dropped to its knees and fell on its side, its hands twitching uncontrollably...

Part 6

*Setting: Night time and the Reptilians barked and growled quietly amongst themselves, excited by their Lords sudden determination to corrupt the outcast Reptile, Injin. He was stood in the center of the cavern now, the Reptiles surrounding him, yet a few yards away, and cawing viciously. Melik was stood towards the back of the cavern, looking on at the hordes as they excitedly prepared for something they knew nothing about. Maybe it was excitement of the unknown. He didn't know, or care for that matter...*

Obitus: "MELIK!!"

Upon hearing his name the Reptilian Lord pushed his way through the crowd of followers. There was a time when they would have moved out of the way for him, bowing their heads, but not anymore.

Melik: "Sire...?"

Pushing past the Reptilians stood at the front he then made his way towards the God. Obitus looked at him, his eyes glowing red with anticipation.

Obitus: "Melik, i need you to gather more bretheren. Amas the hordes of Reptilians througout Mudos. We will need many more to form a substantial army..."

He looked around the cavern, looking at his followers. There were around 5, maybe 600 Reptilians all hidden in this dank, dark cavern. Melik looked around, feeling that the number was substantial enough to mass an attack.

Melik: "But sire, surely our numbers aaare more thaaan substaaantiaaal??"

He asked this with curiosity, yet knew there was a danger of it been taken the wrong way. And it was. Obitus' claw immediatly wrapped around Meliks snout, clamping it shut as he looked the small Reptilian in the eye.

Obitus: "Idiot. You really think i would attack the Dracconic realm with this meager number?? Dont believe you know more than me, Melik. I served in that Dimension for more than three centuries. I know the layout and the numbers more than a mere mortal like you..."

He pushed Melik back, watching as he fell on his back awkwardly.

Melik: "Yes m'lord. I aaapologise..."

He looked at the God with bitterness in his eyes but said what he knew the God wanted to hear. Slowly he picked himself up and shook himself off.

Melik: "But sire, how aaam i to aaamaaas more when the Orkhids aaare surrounding the aaareaaa? Aaand whaaat if they breaaach the caaave...?"

Both points were of grave concerns to the God and would surely hinder his plan. But he shrugged the concerns off and looked towards the cavern entrance.

Obitus: "The Orkhids will not know the cavern is here..."

Holding his right arm up he pointed an index claw to the opening, slowly the rocks began grow, sealing the entrance up. He turned to the crowd who were in complete blackness.

Obitus: "No creature shall attempt to leave..."

To give light to the darkened dwellings he held out his arm with his palm facing upwards. A small red ball of fire formed on the middle of his palm, this then grew brighter and quickly hurtled itself up into the air. Hitting the cave roof and setting it alight surreally. The Reptilians all cooed softly, watching the fire expand but not go out of control.

Obitus: "And you, Melik. You shall be bestowed with some basic powers. The power of dispersal, allowing you to move throughout Mudos with alarming speed and stealth. Teleportation, allowing you to transport followers to this very cave in a mass quantity. And finally, the power to be able to focus energy...to be able to disintergrate foes by amassing and controlling a force from the palms of your claws..."

Saying the last word he threw a small blue spherical object towards the Reptilian. It was no bigger than a Golf ball but pushed the creature back as it impacted with his chest. Meliks eyes glowed intensly, subsiding as the power was absorbed.

Melik: "S-Sire, thaaankyou..."

He bowed down to him like a Dog to its owner. And within a blink of an eye dispersed into black particles. Obitus smiled, knowing that his plan was almost complete, all he had to do was to get Injin...

***

*Setting: Chirping wildly the small Reptilian being bounded around the burrow. Leaping on the walls of the small dwellings and then throwing itself off as if practicing its agility. Injin was out finding food again, he wasn't intending on been long as the night was dark and the Orkhid Soldiers were usually more alert when night had taken ahold. Entertaining itself until Injin returned, the child had formed a close bond with its foster parent and vice versa. Injin was even teaching the being how to talk more clearly. Its chirping stopped. A feeling dropped down upon it, an unknown feeling, a worrying feeling. A small whimper came from it as it backed away towards the back of the burrow, voices started to whisper throughout its small home. The darkness the creature hid and played in slowly became lighter and as it watched it saw the outline of what looked to be another Reptilian. Its Heart slowly began to speed up, not knowing whether it was in danger or not. And then the darkness spoke...*

Being: "Dont worry, child. Your death will mean Injins rebirth..."

The voice was raspy and low. The beings face became more apparent. Its eyes a shining red, its snout long and pointed. A claw reached from the darkness, clenched tightly. The child gasped and scraped at the back wall, wanting to breakout and escape. Slowly the beings fist unclenched, revealing three bullets. Gently these bullets floated in the air, hovering like Hornets...the creatures eyes flashed, the bullets sped forwards, letting out a rupturous and mysterious 'bang' as they sailed towards the small Reptilian. Its eyes gaped opened, its jaw hanging. Blood stained the wall behind it and slowly seeped out of the wounds, it fell forwards, struggling for breath. And as the murderer watched he smirked, watching as its soul gently hovered out of its body. Nothing more than a green cloud with the childs faint outline in the middle of it and as it prepared to go forth into Reptilian bliss, it was quickly devoured. Obitus moaned gently as the soul was absorbed...he then made himself scarce, awaiting for Injin to return...

Part 7

*Setting: The quiet night atmosphere was destroyed by a vicious howl. Leaping from the small burrow, he had found for him and the young Reptilian, Injin barked lowly. His claws unsheathed and his breathing was rapid and fierce. His back seemed to arch as he dug his claws into the soft ground, drool coming from his lower jaw. He had just found the corpse of the child, three bullets embedded in its small, perfectly formed body. He couldn't believe it, he had left the child perfectly safe and he didn't know how anyone could have found it. It knew it was in danger and thus was unlikely to venture outside or call attention to itself. The Reptilian began to pad back and forth infront of the burrow entry, pondering on the possibilities and thinking about how scared the child must've been...*

*Setting: Obitus watched from afar, sat in a canopy and musing over the distraught Reptilian. Now all he had to do was to manipulate the beast somemore and his plan would be complete...*

Obitus: "They destroyed him..."

He whispered softly, causing a gentle breeze to sweep throughout the forest and circle around Injin. The message was then subtly delivered to the creature, without it knowing that another being was involved...

Obitus: "They slaughtered a child..."

He watched the Reptilian become more frantic, feeling the fury build up inside of it.

Obitus: "They must pay...they've wiped an entire area of Reptilian out. Destroying eggs...babies...they need to pay."

Obitus could see the young Reptilian getting more angry now, could feel his fury raging inside of him. He knew it wouldn't be long before the being snapped...and all would be complete. And in a matter of seconds it was, it was a simple task which was completed remarkably quickly, as he watched from the tree he saw the Reptile burst in a fit of fury and take off deep into the shadows, following its nose to the first batch of troops...

*Setting: The Soldiers sat around the fire talking about their days conquests. The three of them were male, but in one of the two tents further away slept two female Soldiers. The male Soldiers had their guns placed on the ground next to them and weren't really alert to any danger, believing that the vast majority of hostiles had been eliminated. But as one of the male Soldiers placed a Chicken sandwich in his mouth and chuckled at a joke one of the others made, a sleek black figure exploded from the shrubs behind him, hurtled across the soft moss-ridden ground and lunged at him. Its jaws sank into his shoulder, cracking the bone as its two claws grasped his side, ripping through the skin with frightening ease. The other two Soldiers shouted for help, reaching for their weapons, surprised and terrified by the sudden appearance of an animal they thought they killed, its eyes glowing pure white. The Soldier being attacked shouted for help, struggling as the Reptilian dragged him away and deep into the safety of the shrubs. He dropped his sandwich, blood staining the bread. The remaining two Soldiers picked up their assault guns and fired into the shrubs, hoping to hit something and to alert nearby forces. There was silence. The two females slowly stepped out of their tent. Both wearing black vest tops and tight-leggings and both equipped with Uzi's. As quickly as before the creature reappeared, this time from the side, its muzzle and claws stained with the blood of the Orkhid Soldier it was thirsty for more. One of the females shouted out, warning her cohorts about the beast, but as the closest male turned around and prepared to fire, the predator lunged forward, leaping through the air and grasping onto the troops chest, its mouth opened, clamping around the victims face as its head shook from side to side, crunching the skull bit by bit. Fireing aimlessly in the air due to reflex the Soldier quickly wasted his ammo, leaving nothing but the sound of empty barrels clicking in the night. The remaining Soldier jumped back and took aim, clearly shocked by what had just happened to his partner. He pointed the nozzle at the creatures head, fireing. Again this missed as the creature leapt to the side and then whipped its tail around, the tip of its tail connecting with the fingers of the Soldier, breaking them instantly. He called out in pain, dropping his gun. Turning he tried to run to the females but in all the excitement they fired in his general direction, hoping to kill the attacker, unfortunatly for them the Reptilian had dove back into the shadows, leaving the injured troop to be killed with friendly fire. The bullets tore through him, causing him to bend back as he ran forwards, before finally dropping lifelessly to the ground...*

Female #1: "F*ck, f*ck, f*ck!! GET THE RADIO!! GET THE F*CKING RADIO!!"

She pointed her gun in random directions, fearing for her life. After all, the beast had taken out all three of the Soldiers without taking one bullet. The second female slowly backed towards the tent, beads of sweat running down her brow. As her partner climbed into the tent, the first female kept a look out, hoping for nearby troops to come and assist so they stood a chance in this nightly Hell.
*Scream*
Turning her head to the tent entrance she watched as her partner was seemingly thrown out backwards and unarmed. She sailed through the air, landing a good 10-11 yards away from the tent. Though still alive she was obviously shocked and injured. Thinking the attacker, or possibly another attacker, was in the tent she turned and upon doing so was met with the strong stature of a 7ft beast, Obitus. Two long dark brown horns topped his head, bending back like that of a Goats. His black snout was long and pointed at the ends, topped with two pointed nostrils. But even though the entirity of this being screamed danger, she was somewhat hypnotised by his eyes...his sharp, blood red eyes. Before she could do anything Obitus had swiped at her, knocking her gun from her hand. And then with the same claw, swiped her again, beating her to the ground with one lone hit. By this time the other beast had emerged from the shadows, lapping its lips it padded on all fours, closing in on the female who had been thrown out of the tent. She stared at it, her eyes full of fear as she looked into its glowing white eyes. The God of Death looked on as Injin moved in for the kill, he smirked to himself, pleased at what he had accomplished. Raising his leg he then placed his foot on the other female Soldiers stomach, holding her down but not killing her. They both watched, awaiting for the inevitable. Awaiting for the womans death. But Injin seemed to stop, his eyes slowly began to dull and he shook his head from side to side, moving backwards.

Obitus: "What's wrong...??"

Injin snarled gently, the female who he was approaching pushed herself away from him, slowly crawling backwards.

Injin: "S-She's...She's unarmed...I-I cant ki..."

Obitus: "NONSENSE!! SHE HELPED DESTROY THAT CHILD...SHE HELPED KILL IT!!"

He looked at the woman, his eyes glowing pure red like somesort of powerful torch.

Female #2: "Yes. I helped kill it...and i would do it again to thousands of your disgusting race..."

Her voice was bitter and she stared at the young Reptilian emotionlessly, as if possessed. Seconds later she seemed to fall into a daze, shaking her head slowly from side to side whilst rubbing it, confused. By this time it was too late, the Reptilians eyes had shone a wildly white again and he lunged for her, pinning her down he clamped his jaws around her neck and then pulled back, ripping her throat out. He flung his head back in the air, grunting proudly as blood spurted everywhere, she gasped. Twitching slowly and feeling the blood flood her mouth and spill out of it. Obitus watched with pleasure, watching as Injins eyes shone wildly, as his Dragon soul took ahold. Cracks in Injins face began to form, they started from the eyes and seemed to stretch outwards, allowing more light to shine out. Slowly he padded forwards, growling lowly, viciously...brutally. He approached the woman who Obitus was holding down and looked at her, she looked back at him. Her eyes silently pleading for mercy.

Obitus: "Kill her..."

No sooner said was it done. His mouth gaping wide he took her face inside of it and clamped down, pulling back as he let out a low bark. Black blood stained the ground as he took half of her face off, causing her to die slowly and painfully through loss of blood. She would have screamed, but her jaw was hanging off...and doing so would have caused more pain. Backing away and rising onto his hind legs Injin studied Obitus, growling lowly as he tried to remember why he was getting a familiar feeling...

Obitus: "Well done, child...Well done."

More cracks were forming now, this time they were running around his whole body, causing more light to escape. Injin was oblivious to this and kept looking at the God.

Injin: "Who are you...? Why does it seem as if i should know you?"

His voice was somewhat distorted, but nevertheless still understandable. Reaching out with his left claw Obitus caressed Injins face and purred softly.

Obitus: "I am Obitus, your soul bearer..."

And with that a sudden pain awashed other the Reptilian, he dropped to the ground screaming in agony as light engulfed him completly. Visions of his past flooded into his eyes, like he was going down a tunnel of memories at an immense speed. And as the journey slowed, a blinding light blasted from his body...like a small Star, exploding in Space...

~End~
