"Should the US wage war on Iraq?"

This question is on the minds of many Americans and the entire world.

State you opininon on this debate here.

Mine is: Although Iraq has been in the spotlight for the past couple of months with all that is gonig on, I think ol' G.B. is jumping the gun. The U.N. is still conducting the search of Iraq for weapons, and so far they have not found that much that is concret proof that Iraq is stockpiling hoards of missils, bombs, etc.
If the U.N. can finsd some dangerous weaponry or evidence that may show a conspiring plan of some sort, than we should move in, but only to watch them and see if they make a move, if they do,then we may have to start an assault.

From what I understand, Iraq is a rouge country. They have economical relationships with China and France. They hold oil. And they hold a tyrant. War will come from the middle east. We just don't know when. Iraq wll buy there time, and so I feel the United States is doing the right thing, set a time limit. Even though the weapon inspectors may not turn up with hard evidence of weapons of mass destruction, lets not fool ourselves to still disbelieve there isn't any. A rouge country will harbor weapons, and so I feel they do possess weapons. Should America take the initiative to take out Iraq, I can not really say. But I have a bad feeling war will take place, it's just a matter of time. Me feelings thus far have been stated.

As BB stated if the U.N doesn't find anything then the U.S shouldn't feel its their "right" to attack. If they do, 1 of 2 things could happen;

(1) - Iraq gets hammered, thus prooving their innocence, thus prooving Bush is a shit, thus leading to people saying "Booo...!!" to Bush.

(2) - Iraq mock the U.S and in a final death mockery nuke/Bio/Chemicalise random, un-friendly-towards-them countries...including the U.K.

And Kai, i agree. But how can the Iraqi's give up their weapons if they have none.

And also, what seperates the U.S. and Iraq!?! They both have weapons, they both have killed innocents...

Exactly. Osama's motive was to wage revenge on America for what they had done in previous years. However, what they did (also including the American's) was out of line.

It's a shame that whats left in this world to end disputes and vengfulness is attacking.

Also, how long does Bush's presidential term last? How many years to go?

Alcar...

I'm sorry, I do not know a lot about this stuff, as I don't care about America's problems, but even if Iraq do have weapons, does it mean they will use them? Most other countries have weapons but they are not under suspicion (how the hell do you spell that?)
But as I said, I do not know a lot of the story so don't eat me.

Hell no, we should never make war with Iraq, think of the economy now. Unemployment would go up after the war, people would die, prices will raise. Loads of bad things are gonna happen if there is a war againt Iraq.
