Can blind people see pictures in their dreams???

I was talking about this with my friend at work today and we couldn't come to an agreement. You see you use your imagination when you dream, and hence we see in pictures. But because a blind person wouldn't know what a picture is, then how would they know? Now I once read somewhere that you don't actually dream in pictures, but you dream in words (sort of like telling a story), so if that's the case then no one would dream in pictures. I disagree with that, but if gives you something to think about.

So what do you guys think???

I think they can dream, since they can feel things, they would just imagine them and dreaming is using imagination.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God.
You see things, and you say 'why'. But i dream things that never were and i say 'why not'.

Wow!......I never really thought of that before? Hmmmm..... I guess they could see images? Probably what they've made up the world to look like though.

i agree.....

I agree......
Since blind people cannot see they must see in their dreams that relate to reality......but they probably see it how they imagine.........this is a very interesting thread... GOOD WORK!!

Well technically going on the subject of astral projection. Technically they can, when they are removed from their physical body, they can see, because they no longer are blind in the different consious level. Its similar to that actually sometimes Deaf people can have hearing dreams. And hearing people can have dreams with no sound. it all depends. Its a very complex theory/data. I'll try and get some more info for you.

I think they must see in their dreams cos dreams do not use your eyes or ears. They are 2 do with imagination...
Example:Blind people have heard music and T.V but they have never seen it..they must imagine what it is like..therefore seeing what they imagine it to look like in their dreams.

As far as I understand it dreams are semantic and interpreted by the brain as coming from familiar senses. And so blind people would not see images in their dreams but they would rely more on hearing and such to work out what was happening as in real life.
