Banner Size

From my brief period back on the forums, I've noticed what I assume to be full sized banners. Like ferill's and happyguys. Yet its still wildly big looking, and annoying. But most of the banners from request topics and stuff aren't just a huge rectangle and stuff. I say there should be like a smaller banner allowance size, or at least not one single huge rectangle. Its very annoying and disruptive. I mean sizes like PA/Xaviers are fine, I just dont like ones like ferills...

I've also found that to be annoying, with the big banners.

For example, mine is only 400x84. The reason I make mine smaller than the allowed limit is because I dislike the hideously oversized banners.

I've been trying all different sizes for my Banner, but none of them looks good, so in the end i just went for the largest size, but since you guys think its crap, i'll change to something smaller. Thanks for the suggestion.
