I was watching a documentary on stingrays and their technology, and then it just hit me. Interns look sorta like rays because they look aquatic and they have those things on their heads. they just remind me of stingrays.

he means the little curved prongs above the eyes, they remind him of thoes fins by a MANTA RAY'S mouth.

And Manta Rays (Not stingrays, mind you. Common mistake) have thoes fins on the side of their mouth, right?

Well, stingrays actually have little 'horns' which resemble the Interns 'horns' more closely, but we still cant see mudflubs point. Nice researching anyway.
