The latter. It would really boring if all the seas were perfectly clean and tidy and problemless. The last thing we need is another 'Wilderness Region'.
Well I would hope that they were clean! I wouldn't wanna live on a planet with brown oceans and mutant fish everywhere!

if oddworld is huge then why cant there be both. we have giant salt lakes that can support no life and freswater lakes with little to no polution on earth. i dont see why they would all be polluted unless water is scarce on oddworld (which doesnt seem to be the case) i think they should go with both concepts and maybe even show a transition from one to the other. i dont see this as an either or situation and discourage people from thinking that. There are more than 2 sides to this vote so its a bad poll.
Well your right Oddworld dose have both, like in the "Watertable" video we saw that was going to be a feature in Munch's Oddysee.

This goes to my theory on the existance of an off shore Glukkon oil rig. I can see the Glukkons drilling for oil in the seas and I could also see the Glukkens hunting the Sea Rex for it's Fat other than just Mud Flubs to power industrial vehacals. Think of whale boats hunting huge Humpback whales and you will see what I am talking about. In Oddworld a lot of the issues are related to a lot of the issues on earth only turned up a notch and to the extreme. I balieve it is very possible that Lanning will use this issue in one of his games.
Now imagine haveing Abe or Munch clean up an oil slick and haveing to renew the water enviorments and the life within it. I can see a movie where Abe discovers a beached Sea Rex caught in a net and covered in oil. That would be cool to see plus the game play would be intresting. I hope OWI takes to the seas because there is a lot of potential with that concept.
