Dicussion on new characters in the next game!

I was reading the inhabitants interview and they asked the question Q: Who is your favorite Oddworld character? Why?

IP: My favorite is one of the characters from our new game ... but I can't say any more about that.

I don't know about you but I am interested on who that may be. I mean when I think about it I balieve it is something that we have never seen before. Maybe another race? Which I hope it is. It would be cool to see new races in Munch's Bonus game other than Mudokins and Gabbits and the rest of them. Perhaps it could be a Chronicler? But whats clear to me is that what ever it is it's going to be cool. What kind of new characters you think will show up in Oddworld 4?

It could be absolutely anything. We just cannot tell. Besides a clue from Alf that the story will revolve around those 150 eggs and an old Designer Diary that tells us we will see Sligs in a new light, we have nothing to give us any clues whatsoever as to what this new game could be. Even the name of it is a secret.

It could be a Meech that is trying to stop [ Insert Glukkons Name Here ] from slicing up the rest of his buddies.................. reminds me of the AO plot.

Nah, they probably wouldn't just redo AO with new characters...

The Gabbit eggs hatch, the babies inside turn out to have this horrid personality disorder or something!! Seriously. Anyway, they are a few who are really screwed and they go OTT with the whole 'Power ups to the people' and instead of just sabotage they rampage and riot. Beating the Sligs to death and such and stealing Slig eggs and just doing really nasty things...

Im still awaiting a Homosexual character OW!!

LOL. Still, I doubt it would happen as they will probably avoid sex in any way (I mean other than Munch, but he will only be doing it with an aluminium can) to appeal to kids and not have parents complaining.

In any case, most of the characters so far have been asexual, so I doubt there would be any gay creatures on oddworld. Maybe you can take inspiration from the Vykkers who appear male but are actually hermaphrodite. Do you remember Erwin and Humphrey's hug at the end of MO?

Precisely the direction I want Oddworld to avoid at all costs. MO was way too kid-friendly. Children were fond of Abe when it was dark in AO, it was just up to the parent to decide what to show the kids.

As for avoiding sex (in all its glorious forms), I wouldn't any stress placed on it, but it's a subject that shouldn't be pushed to one side. Just...managed carefully.

I hope Darius Squeek is gay, but not the stereotypical sort...a real butch, bastard of a gay. I recently got MO and after seeing the Vykkers i do believe they're abit *Whistles* but i want more!!

Also, do you think Lorne will handle the issues of STD's? Underage pregnancy's? and Prostitution?

Anyway, Foo-Foo is an amazing Slig who steals the dress' off that Slig and wears them secretly in his room, twirling merrily and squealing with happiness. He also fancies one of the Big Bro Sligs and purposely tries to get him drunk...just so he could maybe get lucky...

Nate_dog_wolf: I never realized that! Oh my gosh, Munch is gonna have to.....eww. I always thought of him getting a canopener and setting loose these little live wriggling baby gabs but....no.

And the hug? No, I don't think they were trying to have one last go or anything like that (I hope!). Vykkers don't do it with others, they are self-impregnating. Check it on OW's official site. Or at least that's what I thought they were saying, but I could be wrong. .....*looks at the post so far*....gee, are we even allowed to talk about this kind of stuff? I keep waiting for my mom to whack me.

Jacob: I love Foo Foo! He's so cute! I bet he has a huge keychain-ornament shaped like a piece of fruit!

PA: I wonder who it will be too! I hope we get to see some queens in the next game--especially Sam! I wonder so much how Abe will feel toward her? For awhile they were calling her Abe's "mommy", but why such an endearing term for one he's never met? Hmmmm.
