Wired How do Glukkons get dressed?

You ever wounder how the Glukkons get their suits on? Just how do they get their suits on? I can see them going to some kind of huge Oddworld suit warehouse where there is hundreds or thousands of suits hanging on moveing hangers like an assembaly line of some sort. Kind of like the dry cleaners but factory size and on Oddworld.

Well the Glukkon goes there and gets fitted by a Taylor which can be another industrial race I might add. The Taylors fit them and the Glukkons hop onto this moveing cart of some sort and machines pick out the proper suit and dress the Glukkon. That would be funny to see. Glukkons being dressed by robotic machines like an asembaly line. Then the Glukkon is droped off to pay for his suit. I don't know I was thinking about that after seeing a comercial on Television about suits. As soon as I saw it Glukkons poped on the mind.

Happy glukkon clothing

Maybe they just use their little feet and large hands to work the colthes on, with an attendant slig to help.

Maybe they "sit" on something like a pole and they can put on their suit with their hands.

Or maybe they have machines that dresses them up if the gluckons command them to.

I don't see how a machine could dress a glukkon
but it can... I just don't see how

Remember: whe're on Oddworld and anything is possible. And besides whar's so hard to imagine? It's a machine with robotic hands and when gluckons say 'Do it' they do it.

Maybe the suits are really stiff and stand up on their own and the front of their suits open like a door and the glukkons just walk in.

I doubt it. At the end of AE when Mullock gets zapped, why isnt there any mechanical parts? Good in theory though.

I imagine he could do something really gruesome with that idea in mind. *Grins evily*

That probably wouldnt work. The pole would make it really difficult as they would have to find some way of getting off it when they have their clothes on.

My idea is, the Gluks at the lower end of the command chain have helpers. Could be a new species, 'Ttailars'. The Gluks at the higher end of the command chain could possibly have a dressing machine of some description.

I had always thought that Sligs assisted Glukkons in getting dressed. We already know that Sligs light cigars and do other things for Glukkons, so it's just made sense to me that they would do such also.

Although I do like the idea of some kind of "dressing" machine ... like in some sci-fi movies that are set in the future, people are dressed by just walking through this device.

Gosh, that would be bad for sligs either way...

Have whatever you use to help see off (wasn't it the mask), and put the GLuks suit on wrong. Death.

Where the mask to see. Go blind, and die anyways.

I didnt say that the suits were metal, i said that they were stiff. Maybe they use a HUGE amount of starch?

Well, I know they cant move, but its probably coz most of their suits are whole-body suits. WOuld you be able to move in a whole body suit?

hmmmm......
Come to think of it, why do Glukkons wear full body suits?
They would be able to move more freely if they wore suits that allowed them to move their arms seperatly, and they would be more independant that way too.
So why would they decide to wear clothing that restricts that?

Im guessing its to hide the fact that they are actually really small, which wouldnt make many creatures respect/fear them if they wore suits that actually fit their body shapes.

My point exactly. The large shoulders give them a kind of 'important' look.

You know that idea of the glukkons suit being stiff or metal sounds good but what about when the glukkons were jumping in AE? The suit looked flexable then right? In a stiff suit you wouldn't be abel to jump or bend. And you were able jump and bend a little bit in AE when you were a glukkon. Maybe they have shoulder pads like football players do but with a regular flexable suit. That is my guess. Which goes back to my theory about some kind of wierd industrial machine dressing a Glukkon. I mean could there be Glukkon dry cleaners?

They probably have a machine to put the clothes on for them.
Or they are born with the clothes on and never take them off.

If they used starch there would be some wiggling and bending allowed but it would retain its stiffness and shape, I was also pondering that maybe the lapel pin acts as a kinda doorknob, the lapel is usually where the glukkons feet are, so they might open the "door" with their feet by turning the lapel, or have a slig open it.
