Like you said, I don't think anyone would find them offensive. But if someone does, then don't post them in the same posts as that member.

But i'd be surprised if anyone were to take offense to those words, afterall there only potty-funny words.

I agree, I know some people may have thought just because I was giving out simple reminders in FC, that I was being a hard ass. But thats not my intention, I am mainly frustrated with people in FC using various topics to possibly keyword here "boost" their own post count, I have issued a few reminders in those topics, but if it continues, I would like to speak with you about it if thats ok Alcar, just to talk about possible issues of warnings to people spamming in FC constantly. Besides that I hope in no ways that I am one of these people mentioned, I try my best not to think of myself in higher esteem and on better terms than other members, but if anyone has been lead otherwise I apologize, please let me know, because trust me if thats the case, I hope you understand that I try and tell people, or warn people in the nicest ways possible, so please tell me, I do have the best or try to have the best intentions with sensitive conflicts such as that. And the best intentions in what I say. Thanks again.

Before he and the others left, the forums hardly ever saw a swear word said.

Thats good, in a sense, that I do not think I am guilty of that, and that I havent done any wrong doing in I think any of these categories that I am aware of, though If possible Alcar, the next time the member I have in mind continues to post as he has in FC I would like to speak to you about discipline for him, as well as others who violate not only the rules of OWF, but some of my own guidlines that I like members to follow in FC, as well as Alector's guidelines.

You know, this will most likely end up in the banning of members more often. I have nothing wrong with it if its about spamming and insulting, but there needs to be a stone set rule guide.

I know if someone is banned they will probably be issued a temp one, most likely if they are a semi veteran. I'd like to see compelte equality of newbies and veterans, all the offenses seem to be counted the same.

If I can find time, I'd like to help with it.

Majic_Abe, yes, I would like to see Newbies and Veterans treated the same, im thinking something along the lines of:

1st warning
2nd warning
3rd warning + Banned Temporarily for 5 days
Banned Temporarily for 2 weeks
Banned Completely

Hows that sound? And in extreme cases, a complete ban might be made, or a temporary ban might be made. But very rarely, and in extreme cases like I said.

As for the swearing, the words so far not allowed are:

Sh*t
Co*k
Pus*y
Wank*r
Nigg*r
Fu*k
Assho*e

Any more? All others should be fine, like the non offensive potty words. I had to block them because i've already censored them.

Anyways, this needs to stay. Also, if a member is ever banned or temp banned I would hate to see anyone treated differently because of contacts or personal feelings. I probably sound hearltess, don't I

When will the rules page be updated? Or is it already.


EDIT: While I posted, it seems a censoring thing went into effect. Neato... It'll just make the words more obvious.

And I have an idea: Ban "and, an, a, as, ack, & actualy". Also "If, I, inside, ick, & idiot." You had a regular conversation, sir. your banned.

I as well am going to be updating my guidelines within FC, that will now be enforced due to members, not listening to my reminders, as well as I will talk with Alector on what she wants put into the updated rules of FC.

I'd just like to point out that there is a difference between swearing and swearing at someone.

Your sudden leap into censorship mode is a bit irritating, really.

I understand you want the ultimate, peaceful, happy la la forums, but this seems a bit to extreme. As far as patronizing...yeah, I'm guilty of it, but not because I am a mod. I was patronizing idiots long before I was a mod of anything....if someone is/or is acting stupid, I see no reason to humor them and talk to them as if they're intelligent.

I would also like to issue Al his first warning, for using the word "hard ass". If the word "ass hole" is not to be used, surely "hard ass" will be just as bad.

I didn't necessarily say that swearing was less frequent under my regime, but that it was done in a valid context. The Glass Asylum doesn't have a swear word filter, and we hardly have a swearing problem. Not that I care about these forums - they've gone dramatically downhill since we left.

Also, pussy isn't a swear word, it's slang for cat and vagina.

It's not total censorship, and the word "ass" is okay. But put into the word "assh*le" then no.

I do have a problem with. Bástard is not a swear word, it basically means a child born out of wedlock. Its not very nice, but its not a swear word. Cóck is short for ****ral (Although, i think use of insulting somebody with this should be banned or whatever) Pússy...its a hard one. Like Syd said though, its slang. ShÃ*t...O-M-G!! How can you censor this...give it two years and the word will be commonly used!! Same goes for Wánker. As that word is merely stating what a male/female does to themselves/others...I think we should just have it as normal. I, for one, didn't notice any OTT swearing. And i censor certain words out of my own accord, cos i dont really want the little children picking up on them...

I dont think so. The whole context, of what I used has nothing to do with the word, A** Hole, I used it in a way also, thats what some members I have seen have viewed about my reminders and warnings to them as a hostile act, if what you say would apply, then I couldnt use this word, "Jack Ass" wouldnt be allowed either even though its meaning is donkey.

So Im relieved also to hear that this warning does not apply for the way I used that term.
