Platforms

Why were there so many thin platforms in AO and AE? Do you think it's just cheaper for Glukkons to make platforms instead of whole floors, or was the game just easier to design that way? DO you think ME should have more platforms?

Well, I think the reason there are so many platforms (based purely on entertainment reasons. It's just fun to assume this) is because the Glukkons are cheap. They want to design their buildings as cheaply as they can. What's cheaper? Building whole floors, or just a whole bunch of tiny platforms? And, I think ME should have more platforms. Since it's 3D, it would make it a little harder and fun to play.

(Sure... The part about "Should they be in ME?" was lame, but I had to make the topic longer somehow, right?)

Thats a cool idea...and i would say to that if you think of it that way the glukkons tried to sped as least money as possible on making the platforms

In the opening of AO you see abe running on a platform who moves a bit.

Yeah it did move a bit somewhat unstabled...i think we will see it in future games as well

it's sad we didn't have more than 2 or 3 screens with moving platforms, that would be so realisitc!

I think that the platforms are just there so the mudokens don't escape because if they want to escape they can't sneak past a Slig very easyly without the slig noticing a very clever idea by the Glukkons.
It would also be good to see moving platforms in ME so when Abe or Munch falls off it would be funny to see them die.

BTW the muds can sneak very easly on those platforms, so I don't think it's because that sneaking thing

I found a strange platform in MO who isn't suspended, it is in the air, but it isn't attached, it is in the first level when you are back in VykkerLabs

anyone else notice?

They don't just have the platforms in the factories they also have them in native parts on AE and AO.
