Future Spiritual Advisors

I was wondering... Do you think there will be more spiritual advisors like the Shaman and Bigface in future games? If so, what do you think they will be like? I suppose on what the species will be of future characters... I suppose the Shaman will pop up in ME. Bigface didn't make much of an appearance in AE.

I think that there could be a chance of a new spiritual advisor, in the next games. But i would also like to see Big Face back that would be real cool, or even the weirdos.

But if its a new advisor i wonder what he would be like...what if it was a female Mud

I think the Shaman in MO was a dork... He rambled, and did nothing to really help you. See, Big Face tells you what to do... and uh, revives you or whatever... The wierdos are, well, wierd. I hope ME will have good spiritual leaders... not jokey, moronic baboons that can't tell a cup from a speaker. (yes, very random response)

Yeah, I didn't like the Shaman, either. He was pointless and looked absolutely silly. I would rather have Bigface; he's really cool...

Yeah, and he was a good (and essential) character, too.

I bet they replaced him with the Shaman because Bigface wasn't exactly a talker, and they needed a talker to guide you...

Oops. I forgot about the Weirdos... How could I forget the Weirdos? Anyway, I kind of liked the Shaman. Sure, he wasn't as cool as Bigface, but I liked his wisecracks. They were lame, but they made me chuckle.

I think BigFace was the best of all the spiritual advisors of Abe
He is realy cool, but have a poor sence of humor...

Ahhhh, Big face my favorite of the spiritual advisors. I was looking forward to seeing him in AE but saddly he never made an apperance.

But Im am really looking forward to meeting the next prophit in the Oddworld Quintology, and Im sure we'll see Big Face and the Rasin in much more future games.

Big Face is in AE, in the very beggining of the game
he is the one who puch Abe

Bigface was Abe's spiritual advisor but I got the impression that the raisin would be with us for the rest of the quintology. I'm not basing this on anything concrete but he is very concerned about the state of oddworld. That's why he is helping abe. So he probably won't stop helping abe (and munch, and squeek, etc) until Oddworld has been saved.

What do you think?

Alf: Because this story is about Munch, Big Face does not appear (Bigface is Abe's mentor). In many ways, Abe has moved beyond what Big Face can teach him, which is one of the reasons the Almighty Raisin chooses this time to reveal himself to our heroes. And don't worry – Abe's story is far from over. He isn't going anywhere soon.

Yes the Raisin is one of the wisest if not the best spiritual advisors for Abe and Munch....I too believe that the raisin will remain one of the spiritual advisors for the rest of the quintology.

I think it too, normal he was desingned to appear in an later game, but lorne wanted to put him in MO for some strange reasons

Oh yeah Xavier your right, I forgot all about that. But what I really ment was that I wished he had a bigger role in the game (like in AO). Anyways as for the Rasin, well I can assure you guys that we will see more of him in later games and with... prehaps, a bigger role?

bigger role, the one he has now seems to be allready pretty big.

Saddly, I think we will not see BigFace Again in The quintology, or maybe in a Wise assembly

I think the Raisin will only stay for ME... We've gotten a different advisor everytime. But I may be wrong. He did play a pretty big role.

Here are my takes on the individual spiritual advisors:

BIG FACE- The legendary shaman of shamans. His role was to train Abe and help him discover his destiny. He fulfilled that role and has stepped out of the spotlight. Just like John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus, Big Face was there until Abe took his place as leader of the mudokons. My guess is that he won't have a major part in any future oddworld games but will make an appearance due to popular demand.

THE WEIRDOS-Life as a spirit is peaceful, blissful, joyous, etc, etc, etc... The only reason the wierdos decided to visit Abe was because they had an urgent message for him. I don't suspect we will see them ever again. They have returned to their never-ending slumber.

THE ALMIGHTY RAISIN-The greatest advisor on oddworld has seen a horrible end for the inhabitants of Mudos. Therefore he does the unlikely and attempts to change the future by guiding Abe and Munch. I think that we will see more of him down the road. He seems to think the oddworld needs his help.

THE SHAMAN-One of many is my guess. I personally don't like the one in Munch's Oddysee but I do like the idea of many shamans leading the different native mudokon tribes. I want to see different shamans, all helping Abe at various points in his journey.

With all the advisors all having a piece of knowledge to share and to further help the heroes i am expecting to see quite a few wich makes sense

Some more then others of course....I too believe that all the tribes have a shaman leader and we may see numerous in one game soon

well, I like to see the things like this:
The Almighty raisin as supral leader for the next games and for all the heroes.
The BigFace only for helping Abe, so they will maybe meet each others agian.

and the Shamans are only to help those autorities. (shamans in AE-Bigface/ MO-Raisin)

My thoughts are that in the beginning of ME we are going to see a film where Abe and Munch return to the Raison. The Raison reviels to them Abes long lost mother Sam. And how she has been captive for the longest time now.

And I believe that Sam would be a really important spiretual advisor. Something only she can tell and not the Raison. Maybe Sam is trying to spiretualy talk to the Raison telling him that she needs rescued.

But wasant Sam suppose to give Abe some speritual guidance or some revelation to Abe in the original plot for MO? If so then I think she would the ultimate speritual advisor for the rest of the quintology. And that would be cool.

I suppose that the previous leaders (Bigface and Raisin) won't appear again as the main leader in the future games. We will see or hear from them, only in the way like Bigface appeared in AE. So every new quintoligy game will give us a new hero in a new environement with a new guide against new enemies.

Other games (like the bonus games, the fearietales, the habitales, ...) might feature the previous leaders again in a more important role.

The shamans will come back again, just like they were in MO. Giving you some small details about what's ahead, and commenting on you (concerning quarma etc.)

The Raisin was not originally planned as a character for Munch's Oddysee. Production Design was developing another character when Lorne spotted a small thumbnail sketch. He thought it was cool and happily the Almighty Raisin was born. His textures are inspired by tree bark since his first 6000 years were spent as an elder tree.

so he was allready planned to be in a future game

Actually that second quote means he wasn't planned to be in ANY games. Lorne saw a sketch of another character and decided to make a new one, the Raisin. My guess is the the sketch was an early idea for Sam.
