His(atusi) grandfather is 68 years old.
The grandfather lives in Osaka.
His grandfather is considering consulting as the research on waste processing technology.
His Grandfather'name is Zensuke Inoue...

The telephone call has been got from his grandfather two days ago.
He said, "I became difficult illness......"

His grandfather ( mother's father) became stomach cancer.

For a visit of his grandfather, my wife and children go to Osaka from today. Since I have work, I cannot go to Osaka together.

Probably, his grandfather has to undergo an operation immediately.

My son cannot participate in this forum for the time being.

I pray to that an operation of his grandfather ( wife's father) is successful.
I pray all the time..........

I wish you the best of luck. My own mother died of metastatic breast cancer (that means...it spread from one place to another...in her case...her brain) after fighting it for about 2 years...so I know of the torment you'll be going through (hopefully in your case it doesn't result in death.).

I'm really sorry to hear of your grandfather's disease. Cancer is dreadful, my grandmother died from gall bladder cancer last year.

I hope that his cancer is operable and he makes a full recovery.

I am so sorry. Just remember to keep praying, I'll pray for your grandfather. Hopefully the treatment goes okay and everything is fine. You have been a good friend on the forums. I will miss you but I understand.

Wow, Sorry about that. My great-grandfather died of a cancer in his kidneys. It was sad how he looked in the hospital. And my great-grandmother had breast cancer, she survived but it cost her alot of money.

I am incredibly sorry. Cancer is a very serious disease, and I truly hope that your grandfather comes out of it. Just keep your hopes up and it'll be alright in the end.

Both my parents had cancer but it was just the one they have to cut out.The one my mom and dad has dosen't kill you.

Im sorry that I did not reply to this sooner Atusiya@.

It is truly sadening when a loved one dies, or gains a life threatening disease which could possibly kill them.

I knew one of my grandfathers for only a short time until he died, I would only have been a child still and yet those memories even though I do not remember them all, are still some happy times. Sadly my sister was even younger and so even less time had she with him. What is most bad is that my brother never even saw him, he was born after my grandfather had died.

At least my grandfather got to see my brother while in my mothers womb.

Atusiya@, you've probably heard this before, but for as long as he is still alive you should make sure you visit and talk to him, but dont treat him as if he is dying. You are at the age where you know what death is, which is good. I didn't understand it when my grandfather died.

However I hope that he makes it through, as you will have more time with him. I truly hope things go well.

Looks like more or less all of us here have been hit by cancer in some way.
Cancer claimed the life of my dad, he had thyroid cancer. Died in 1997. And whats worse is the fact that me and my sister inherrited it. . . So, we had to have our thyriods out. I now have to take 150mgs of thyroxine daily.
Oh yeah, and my auntie (my dad's sister) died of the same desiese very recently. She had the same operation me and my sister had when she was 16, but they apparently didn't remove all of the thyriod gland. . . She died when she was in her 50s.

Oh well, best of luck to your grandfather.

I must be one of the few who hasn't. Someone I know got the lead role in a play because the former leading actor was diagnosed with Lymphatic Cancer, but that's as close as I've been. I suppose I should be grateful...

I sympathise, and wish him good luck, but I can't think of any words of encouragement other than what has already been said. Tell him to stay strong...

Seriously now, erm, two of my uncles died of Cancer, my next door neighbour lost both of his legs to Cancer and something else happened to someone else. If he does get through it there is the series of Radiation that he has to go through, Chemo etc etc. Its gonna be immensly hard but if you have caught it early he should be ok. Good luck.

Yes, I have too.

My father's mother died of cancer, in 1996. I still miss her so much and just a year ago I still often thought of my grand mother and started crying, and I just couldn't stop...

My other grandmother died while my mother was expecting me. She also had cancer. She went to the hospital in her 50's and said she had this thing on her stomach and she thought it'd be cancer. The young and stupid doctor said it wasn't anything! He said something like: "Old ladies get those kind of lumps. It's nothing". And she died of it a few year later...

Please don't let these sad events lower your hopes Atusi and father. Although many of us have had friends and family die from cancer there are also those who know people who got cancer and lived. Don't give up hope. Stay strong. All will go as God intends.

I too would also like to offer my thoughts and good hopes for atusiya@'s grandfather. It sometimes seems hard in a situation like this, but never give up hope and remain strong. Family is important at this time. Stay together and lean on each other when needed.

I hope your grandfather pulls through, and that you get to spend some quality time with him to show him how much you care for him.

The operation took about 5 hours.
2/3 of his grand father stomach was removed.
The doctor said that this operation was successful.
