Fellow members, thank you for stopping in. Lately there's been a lot of talk about Oddworld Inhabitants' incorporation of the Sobe beverage into their "line of business." Along with this, there have been many emotional flares set off by some of our active forum "family" members and others, who aren't so lucky as to be frequent visitors. To sort of start off, let me tell you about this:
Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Ever since I "saw the light" and have become truly inspired by Oddworld, I've discovered, among many other things, that there are two kinds of people. There are those who are used by the system, and there are those who use the system to their advantage. Those who are used by the system feel that they are victims and conciously reinforce this by dwelling on and complaining about everything that doesn't go their way. Inversely there are those that use the system to their advantage, and that is what we have here. Oddworld Inhabitants is using the system to their advantage! They have a message to deliver to the world and that's what they are doing.
Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*It disheartens me to see that some of the fans that we have the priveledge of including into our "family" are now cursing and knocking OWI for what should be a relatively insignificant matter to us fans. Ever since I have been touched by them and their work, I've been put on what I call a "mission from Odd." In this mission, I need to help them in distributing the message as much as I can. That is what makes me a fan in that particular way. If you'll notice, I'm member 44. I've been around, and although I visit these forums every day, I do not post messages or replies unless I have something to contribute or an important thing to say. That is why I only have just over 100 posts.
Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*In conclusion, I recognize the fact that naturally, Oddworld Inhabitants can't please everybody. Please try to see it their way; I know it sure would make this an even more pleasant place to be.

I wish more people held this attitude. Lately I've been seeing topics accumulate heaps and heaps of posts, but after looking at them, they just consist of signature graphics and random lines of senseless gibberish, it's not interesting to read at all. This place isn't a chat room, it's a place for discussion, not idle chat. From now on, Abe Babe and I will be deleting any post containing senseless drivel. Moderators can do the same in their forums. Sorry to be bitter and prudish, but we can't just stand around and watch Oddworld Forums become watered down and dull. The most obvious offenders know who they are, but everyone has done it, including me. So it's a collaborative effort.

look i know i shouldn't even bother posting because it will make more people hate me and waste useless time. ANYWAY I'M SAYING IT! Look over the last month or so i think that the forums has improved alot. and i mean alot. Before we were a gang that had a bit of quirky silences and battles. But now we are as pilot said a "family" we are all freinds.
So far i have experienced a good step in the forums relationship (OMY GOD I'M SOUNDING LIKE I'M DATING YOU GUYS!) we have arguments and we solve it, we make jokes and just bum out! Thats what it's all about.
General discussion to me is just another room to bum out!

IM ODDBODD! I'VE BEEN ODDBODD SINCE I JOINED THE EZBOARD! AND I STILL WILL BE ODDBODD, MOSTLY WHAT I SAY AND DO DOES NOT CONCERN ANY SUBJECT AT ALL! IT'S NOT DULL, WHEN PINKY LEFT IT WAS DULL, WHEN I LEFT IT WAS DULL!!!!! WE NEED A FORUM THAT COMMUNICATES LIKE FREINDS DO! WE AREN'T A FREAKING SHOW OFF, WHY DO WE NEED TO SHOW OFF? TO WHO, WHY DO WE NEED TO BE DIFFERENT? WHY DO WE HAVE TO CHANGE BECAUSE SOME DUDE DOESN'T LIKE TO HIT THE "REPLY" BUTTON ENOUGH TIMES.
SO FAR I'M QUITE PISSED AT MY LIFE AND THE FORUMS IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN COMMUNICATE WITH THE SIDE THAT I WANT MY LIFE TO BE! IF YOU TAKE THAT AWAY WELL I'LL JUST MOVE ON.
and don't think i am just out to get my status higher. hell i don't even look to see my status or how many posts i have, they are just useless numbers.

I do n ot hate sobe! i just get carried away because i don't believe that oddworld would put it in the game. I've noticed that all the people who have been FOM's are totally along oddworld's side and i don't care.
you have to see what they done, they not only ruined the game, they have crossed the boundires of humans and oddworld! they defied oddworld's universe.
I take that as a personal insult because of my passion for oddworld, i would have wasted a part of my life if i found out that lorne and his company was only out for money.

That's right, we are a family. Oddbodd, to me you seem to be eccentric with a good sense of humour, I never asked you to be someone else because you're fine the way you are. I just want everyone to make a collaborative effort to improve the forums. Like I said, the forums aren't a chatroom, so people shouldn't be having line per line conversations here. I think it's great that you see the forums as a place where you can retreat from real life for a few moments.

Back to Sobe, I don't see how a couple of vendos could have ruined the game. But you have a point about humans crossing the boundaries into Oddworld, but I think it's easy to forget about it. It's not about money though.

Oddbodd, we are not asking anyone to deny who they ar; I haven't a clue where you got that idea from... Sydney was merely saying that a few lines of gibberish is pointless.

You said "THE FORUMS IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN COMMUNICATE WITH THE SIDE THAT I WANT MY LIFE TO BE". Key word: communicate. Some of the posts we have been having recently have communicated nothing.

Besides that, nobody mentioned your name. You are not one of the people who makes pointless posts, we were talking about people like Abe's Son, and similar forumers [I am guessing]. I understand what you are saying, but it wasn't really relevant to what Sydney was saying. All Sydney was saying was that there was no need for any forumers [he did not mention your name, and I don't think he meant you, either] to post something meaningless just because they don't have anything worth saying to say.
