The bush fire in Australia How the could stop it...

I saw it on the news: The bush fires in Australia. It´s terrible. Again a catastroph. I dont know if there are any dead people so far. But I saw the people who had losed their houese and all they own. I saw them crying. Just imagine you would lose all you own. Those people are in great sorrow now. I dont know how to help them. And what they´ll do now- without a home. Will the government help them? Or do they have to pay it of their own?
I dont know what to do. But they have to stop the fire. The best was if it would rain- but it´s summer there. And Australian summers are very dry and hot. I dont know how the fire started, where it is located or anything else about bush fires. But I was wondering how they could stop it and got this idea: They should built dikes from earth around the fire. I dunno if it works. It also would be a very hard job to do. It´s nearly impossible. But they could try it. First lock up the fire. Then it cant grow anymore. Now they can erase it.
They need fields of earth around the fire. SO that it cant grow anymore. Even if this is a silly idea maybe it works. What do you think? DO you have any different ideas?

I wish the government or somebody likes this gets this idea and they try it, who knows maybe that´s a chance.

It's sad to see this happen seeing as i live so close to where it is happening. Every channel on every news station there is a report on what has happened.

A friend of my mums had all her animals killed (cows, horses, dog, sheep) some died from the fires, some were laid to rest after being badly burnt.

But then again this is the worst fire in australia to happen, a while back there were the ash wednesday fires which killed and destroyed alot more than what is happening right now

Actually this summer has been quite mild in Australia (well in Victoria it has). They actually found out that 3 teenagers lit some of the fires. Thank God we have a lot of fire fighter volunters. I also saw on the news a cat lost all its whiskers but none of its fur was hurt amazing. The people who lost their houses and their stuff are lucky they didn't lose their life.
