Anyone look forward to Crash: Wrath of Cortex?

Yeah, for those who hate and/or know me, its YCrash13.

Anyways, has anyone here seen Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex? Well it's most likely a PS2 exclusive now, so that's good news for PS2 fans. Anyways, IGN has said that the game actually has made some serious improvements, despite no longer being made by Naughty Dog. Traveller's Tales have taken the job, so they have a really big dog house to fill. But IGN so far seems really impressed with the game, and it's definitely in the same fashion as previous Crash games -- great, unbelievable graphics...etc.



I know most of you wont like this game since it wont be on X-Box, but come on! I admit that if Munch's Oddysee came to PS2 I would probably play it right when it came out, so you all should appreciate Crash. I think that pic is awesome looking. Endless possiblities...

I AM LIKE THE (SECOND) BEST CRASH FAN HERE....I HAVE ALL THE GAMES AND COMPLETED IT 100%. Crash Bash is my fav.

and for the pic...looks cool, except its looosing its happycrash background look. Its all dark and crappy

Ya, I have all three crash games. There the bomb, man! I wish his sister had more levels though. She is the smart one, crash is the pretty one. =)

She's the other playable character in that game. I think it's been confirmed that she gets 6 full levels in the game, about 1/3 of Crash himself.

I, too, am a big fan of Crash and Co. and own five of the six games.

It's a shame Crash couldn't make it to the Xbox, because that means there's a lot of people that aren't going to be able to experience his latest game. There's still a possibility, though.

I certainly won't be buying a PS2 just for Crash, though.

That was when it was supposedly confirmed there'd be an Xbox version and everything. There was a Crash Bandicoot PS2, a Crash Bandicoot X, and a Crash Bandicoot 128 (for the Gamecube). There was also a Crash Bandicoot Advance for the Gameboy Advance, but that was to be an entirely different game.

Crash is great and all, but there's still a chance The Wrath of Cortex will be on the Xbox, or future Crash games might be - unlike Oddworld, which has the next four games exclusively Xbox-owned.

There are only 5 Crash games so far. And if you guys dont like Crash, dont bother to post(Oddbodd).

And I only say it's a PS2 exclusive because so far SCEA says keeping it as PS's mascot is in their best interests. I sure hope he stays on PS2, because after all he IS our mascot. You surely can't blame Mario fans if he were to widen systems. Mascots are what establish systems.

And just like you guys, I wouldnt buy an X-Box just for Odd World. The only other game that interests me is The Matrix. But besides that all the other great games by far areon PS2 as well.

And you all can't say Crash sucks, again this is directed to oddbodd. If you haven't even played it then please stay out of the conversation. You're only more likely to upset others.

Hey Mr.Y, take it easy on Oddbodd, he's my buddie. He already confirmed he is the second biggest Crash fan here.

Now are you sitting down,ok then, I'll say it fast, Crash is confirmed for XBOX and GAMECUBE. Are'nt you lucky, now you can play 3 versions on all 3 great systems.

And God will you be surprised by all the great XBOX games shown in less then 3 weeks at E3, so much more than the great MO and the MATRIX, trust me. I'll guarantee you will be XBOXING sometime in you're life, at least I hope so for you're sake.

Actually Crash: Wrath of Cortex isn't planned for multiple systems. SCEA themselves, owners of Crash, have said keeping him a PS2 exclusive is in their best interests. They said if he were to be on X-Box or Gamecube, it wont be anytime in the immediate future, and it wouldn't be the same Crash game. This is what I know as a Crash affiliate. For anymore, EGM has a pretty basic story of what's going on, and email SCEA for a serious reply. Kevin will be sure to reply, SS100.

And ODDBODD, you can't be the second biggest fan here if you think Crash "isn't even that good". Im sure someone here even thinks he's good...I hope.

I have Crash 2, 3 racing and Bash. It's a real shame that naughty dog aren't developing it anymore, because it just doesn't feel the same without their slightly loony touch. The screenshot looks awesome graphicswsie, but as Oddbodd pointed out, it's missing the happy crash style colours that we've all come to know and love. I haven't heard of Crash for the gamecube, but I've heard of it for the X-Box and PS2, but I think I read/heard somewhere that Konami would be making a Crash game, for the X-Box, or something.

Oh, I registered here on my laptop, and when I used the regular comp I forgot my password and couldnt have it emailed to me.

Anyways, I too mis Naughty Dog, but they're just a developer. Traveller's Tales, the new developer, have worked step by step to preserve what ND established with Crash.

And it's almost impossible to say he doesn't look happy anymore.

And by the way, Konami is co-developer of the game, right next to SCEA. But so far, they really dont have any word in on the game.

Yea the game will be coming to all platforms. I believe the Gamecube will be the same game as the PS2. But of course on a more powerfull system. Now weather they use this Gamecube power is another subject.

XBOX will be something of a different version. We shall see. Anyways it would be best if all three versions were different, variety is the spice of life.

The bottom line here is that Crash the PSX "MASCOT", is no longer a PSX exclusive. What happened there Crash? Anyways I hope they somehow get it more up to today's standards, not so linear, maybe then it would be worth a quick look. Too many other "New age games" coming this year. I mean it's not 96'or 97' anymore.

If Traveller's Tales have got any sense they'll put the same version on all three systems. Why do so much more work for something a lot of people won't be able to access?

Crash outdated, I never would have guessed. He's the most up to date and user freindly game there is. I like him for a reason ya know. And so far, only the PS2 version is in the works. In SCEA they say Crash might not stay PS2 exclusive though. He might go to X-Box and Gamecube in the future, but not immediately. They said if he ever did, it would be another version, respectively. Trust me, I know. I may not have played the game enough, but IGN are people to be impressed, and if they're impressed, PLEASE BELIEVE THEM. Jeezus Chreest.

Crash in the works for Gamecube and the BOX. Go to Gamespot.com, Gamecube area and then recent news section. Don't look too long MR.Y you might go blind. It states everything you don't want to here, sorry but true. Yesteryears hero has jumped ship, and those games are in the works as I type. Read it and weep, nuff said, get a grip. At least Mario has a new fancy up to date game coming, and he keeps his loyalty.

Oh dear, it seems The Wrath of Cortex is a PS2 exclusive at the moment after all. With any luck (and common sense) Crash'll appear on other systems soon enough - And horrible exclusive games, either. Dum de dum.
