Other Xbox Games...

I'm just curious, besides Munch (duh!) what other Xbox games are you planning on getting/really excited about. Myself I'm getting Fuzion Frenzy at launch, and Elder Scrolls III Morrowind (that's a mouth full) a while after. I also want Project Ego, which looks REALLY revolutionary. What about you others? I know in most places you have to buy bundles, so some of you must get other games too.

One of the other games Im looking forward to besides Munch's Oddysee it Halo, I heard that its susposed to be an excelent game, so far I havn't really looked at any other games for the xbox besides these two.

Yeah Worms looks really cool. From the one screenshot they've realeased, the graphics DEFINITLY look really good. I also may get Black & White if they make many changes to it from the PC version (which, in my opinion, rocks) By the way Gluk, what's GTA 3? I know I've seen it somewhere, but I can't put a finger on it.

Azurik and Nightcaster look good, but I think I'll wait for my wallet to fill up alot before getting them. I don't want to get so many games I don't have time to enjoy them all, but I don't want to have very few games that get stale eventually.

3. Grand Theft Auto was a revolutionary game, then GTA2 came out - even better
GTA 1&2 were top-down views of a city where you steal cars and shoot people and stuff...GTA 3 will be full realtime 3D, and more...

Oh yeah! I remember playing that GTA 1. We could only get the demo 'cause my mom said it was encouraging us to be violent. I think PS2 has/will have GTA3, I remember seeing it somewhere. I didn't know that Worms would be realtime...That would be pretty frantic...trying to dodge bazookas while aiming your super sheep. That probably sounds pretty crazy to non-worms players. I'm rambling, aren't I? Let's count how many topics I briefly touched upon in this post...

I want to get Azurik, Nightcaster (exploring... woo hoo!) and Malice, but none of those are Launch titles. The Matrix also looks pretty cool. Halo is the only launch title (apart from Oddworld) that I am interested in.

I'm going to have a whinge here now, because how come when any console launches you get stuck with crappy sport/racing and 1 on 1 fighter games. Look at the actual Launch titles ... how many do not fit into this category... Oddworld and Halo. There are no RPG games at launch (one of my favorite genres).

The same thing happened with the PS2 launch. OK, some people like these types of games, but I don't, and I'm sure there are others like me. So with the bundle pack system you are virtually forced to buy at least one game you'd never even give a second glance to.

So as a result I changed my mind totally about pre-ordering an Xbox unless I find a place that doesn't bundle (I think I have found this place, have to do some checking). I don't want to be spending $100Aus on a game I'd never play. Bundled or not. If I can't pre-order a single Xbox, then I'm getting someone from our US office to pick me one up (OK... I have to wait a few weeks longer, but that's the way it goes). And it was a decision that took about 3 weeks to make.

If I'm wrong, I take it back, but I looked at all the pre-order packs, and I had to get 1 (sometimes 2) games I'd never touch.

That's a good point you have there. I don't like the sports games either. Actually I was willing to buy an Xbox for MO only. But my brother will buy a game, and I'll probably get one as a present. That means 2 other games. My brother will go for Tony Hawk! (Don't know if this counts as a sportsgame?) I want the 3rd game to be one that allows me to play against someone else. So it's gonna be DOA3 or a racing game (undedided yet).

I'd get Azurik and Morrowind (forgot about that one!!!)... but they aren't available with the bundles. I could have gone w/ Shrek I guess, but the movie didn't appeal to me.

You think you are fussy Abebabe? No one is as fussy about there game selection as me. Those games you see above are 21 of the 30 or so I plan on playing as of now in the next year and a half. Don't forget that over 1000 are in production as you read this. So I'm picking the top 3% or so,now that's top notch gaming only baby.

I wanted to point this out to everyone. If you do pre-order with for example EB-world you might be able to exchange a game within your selected bundle. For example if you got DOA3 as one of your selections you could exchange it for lets say Shrek or project Gotham,Fusion Frenzy, whatever is a launch title. Just keep the package wrapped and sealed and there will be no problem with an exchange. At least from 2 EB world's I have spoken with.

Abe babe: I believe the game Morrowind would be a top pick for you the explorer that you are, I am one as well, and will be all over it as well. And I also believe that it will be a launch title as of now due to the date change. Just keep a look out for it, and see about the possibilities of exhanges like I mentioned.

i am like you AB. i hate those sprot and racing games. theyre just no fun. im not really interested in fighting games either. give me either a good old action or RPG anyday!
