do farts go to the back of the bus

ive often though about this a lot but never looked it up

everytime i fart on the bus it tends to stick around for quite a while.
Assume all windows are shut, this means the air inside the bus is theoretically travelling along WITH the bus, but take geforce into account. Air particles have mass, and fart particles probably have more considering the tiny particles of shit contained within. Shouldn't this mean that the geforce affects the air as well as the fart and causes air to circulate more than usual (more than if it was inside a stationary object) even if all windows are shut?

I forgot to mention that, the bus is moving forward at one consistent speed. Would the fart move more if the bus was constantly accelerating.

How long do farts linger in general. Sometimes I just gotta let it out real quiet like in the bathroom at work but will it stay with me. Is it gonna chill for a bit just long enough to expose me.

I think they leave a trail if you walk around a bit as well, like the main body of the fart escapes fast but the residue continues to float out of your pants as you move about.

Xav's answer is wrong. Assuming all the windows and doors are closed (and that there aren't any sneaky cracks to let air in), the bus is a closed system. Thus it accelerates and deccelerates as a whole unit.

The only way that the farts would be pushed to the back of the bus is if it stops so quickly that all the people get thrown to the front, and thus the air flows back to fill the space they vacated.

but surely the fart would travel somewhat to the back of the bus assuming the person farting is facing forward? how far would the fart be able to travel on average do you reckon? (like, the initial velocity of the fart, then coming to rest, assuming the farter is facing the front of the bus)

Acceleration is a vector quantity, a bus could be moving at a constant speed around a roundabout and would be constantly undergoing acceleration due to its constantly changing direction. For the sake of this argument I believe it was that the bus is continuing at a fixed speed in one single direction on some hypothetical infinite straight road. Thus there is no acceleration.

Please stick to the farts guys I'm really curious.
