I just thought it would be very interesting to see, especially if your a long-term member. And it will also show how much you've changed over the years. It will hopefully be a great laugh too (This will not really work for new members.)

Josh, are you going to enhance sprites ripped from previous Oddworld games? I'm asking because in comparision with new, high-detailed backgrounds, the sprites from 1997 look a little bit... ugly :/ (Very, very pixelized)

So anyway yeah hi /wave I decided to join this loony bin (Read: Delightful forum) because I was getting to the point with a couple of my friends that i was able to understand one word in five they were saying (joke ) so some of you already know and love me but for the thousands who don't I say 'Hello' in the rather middle class English accent I apparently have.
One more thing . Firstly I am very new to roleplaying, i have indulged (Ye gods i sound snobby) in some with some of my friends but this is the first proper forumy thingy I've been on and also unfortunately I lost my disc two of Exodus and refuse steadfast to buy an Xbox just for Fable, Oddworld and Viva Pinata now the second has been discontinued :P so I'm a tad lore starved....It would help if anyone could direct me somewhere i could find stuffz out 'cos all the websites I've been on thus far seem to be only half complete as far as lore is concerned ¬¬.

I've just joined and I've worked out how Camtool.exe works!
Only saying this because i could tell people how to do it if they don't know.

Edit: oops it crashed after loading
Edit: Ok this is how you do it... Open command prompt then use the cd command to go to where you have Camtool and stuff type
Camtool.exe -r (Whatever the bitmaps you want in the game's called).bmp (Which screen you want to replace).CAM

I believe this was because Paul had supposedly 'left' at this point and no one knew how to use his .cam file utility (it was a command line utility). I think this wasn't long after I upgraded from Windows 98 so I knew quite a bit on command line applications whenever I needed to use MS-DOS 7 for one.

Erm. Yes. This is probably the second message board I've joined, the first got rather dry overtime. But I got into Oddworld during November past, I found my old PlayStation, went digging through some old games on eBay. Abe's Oddysee was one of them.

I spent the remainder going through the other games (minus the GameBoy blah blah blah.) And I'm absolutely in love with them. Abe's Oddysee being my best, mind you.

Well that's enough for my lecture. About me, hmm. Well people generally say I'm not a nice person, but I do try to be. ^_^ Usually, most of my replies consist of a **** off or something.

The fangone lives under the water, It keeps it's air in those big roundn thing,bubbles i don't know... something, but it can be under water over 4 houers. It eats small helpless fish and rats.

I think I would first go to the ruins of Rupture Farms an arm myself for any wildlife that still survives over there. After that I would get a jeep and drive to the ruins of necrum mines and check out the vaults of necrum.
Then take a quike peek at the abandoned feeco depot and then go searching for a bottle of Soulstorm Brew at the ruins of Soulstorm Brewery.

Maybe looking for the crash site of Vykers lab is also a nice touring idea.

I'm in the same boat as Wil, I joined in 2000 on the old EzBoard back when I was 14 so it's long lost, but that's probably for the best. Young teenager as I was back then (15), my earliest posts here on the vBulletin make me cringe. Urgh. I liked to Roleplay. Including outside of the RPG section. And it seems I was incredibly immature compared to some of you guys here now that are the same age as I was back then. Guess some of us develop slower than others...

I miss my old friends though. Aside from the other few veterans that are still here, Alector is the only one I keep in touch with or haven't fallen out with for whatever reason. And wow, the boards were a very different place back then.

Yeah my activity here lulls a lot after 2002 with very occasional and rare visits until about 2008ish with yet another lull between 2009 and 2010, and even then it's taken until last year to get properly integrated here with some of you lot again. Somehow though I get the feeling I didn't miss very much - This place went stale after OWI shut down, it's kind of a miracle it's still here at all, really.

But I'm glad it is.

Someone had just asked about secret area markings so mostly I'm not too unhappy with the main body of the post. That tilde, though. It actually makes my skin prickle to look at it. Well I started out with something good

My very first post and I have 2 levels for you all to enjoy

1ST LEVEL:

This did take me quite a few days to make since I accadently made some parts impossible and I had to keep going back to correct them. However I have made it so they level can be completed without the -ddcheat

I'd say this is hard. This takes quite a bit of figureing out and you havent got alot of time to think about it. The screen where you need to climb up onto the ledge and jump into the well will really test your skills
