New Stranger HD logo + SligStorm news!

Hey everyone, I just checked Abe's Twitter and he's posted a link to the OWI Facebook page. There's an updated logo for Stranger HD by Raymond Swanland, as well as a comment from OWI confirming they will be working on SligStorm too! I think a lot of people will be pleased to hear that

It's great to hear they are working with Swanland again- maybe this means the original concept artists could return in some way or another for the new games?

I didn't think they ever stopped working with Swanland, considering he was still doing concepts for their ill-fated movie.

Am I to understand SWHD is DLC only? Because that's kind of uber gay.

Apparently all future Oddworld projects are going to be digital distribution-exclusive, or so I've heard.

Also, the SligStorm mention was a comment posted by OWI in response to someone else's comment on the new logo:

Don't cry! I missed it to, I got all caught up in the excitement for Stranger HD. My Xbox went in 2007 and obviously SW doesn't work on the 360

I'm so greatful for Stranger HD. I've been wanting to play it for quite a few years now, still got my original copy.

I'm very excited about sligstorm obviously, but I do hope it turns out a bit longer than originally intended, either way that's great news...

...yet I'm not really interested by the SW HD logo, it's cool but it's still just a logo.

The only thing I hope to get from Sligstorm is a glimpse of Skillya. To date, that's really the only creature design that's unaccounted for.

Would SligStorm be a part of the Quintology? I assumed each Quintology game would have the main characters' name on it, but then how many times can they make titles with puns on the word "odd"...

No, SligStorm would be a bonus title. The Quintology doesn't need to come up with puns on the word 'odd' because they're all titled Oddworld: Character's Oddysee.

But...it is resolved, it says so in the First Ten Years book. Khanzumerz are the Oddworld name for people living in cities who buy products, it's one of the footnotes, don't make me dig it out and quote it.

I'm going to make you dig it out and quote it, because without a page number that I can personally check in my own copies, I simply refuse to believe that dozens of the dedicated Oddworld fans I know have poured through those pages and not noticed it.
