Wow, really interesting finds here. Sad that the Oddworld games don't get more references in the media, though.

Is that the "full" theme or did they mix it with their own custom score?
Was that theme composed specifically for Oddworld or was it stock music? If it's the latter, then that would be an explanation.

They call it "Abe's Odysee 1" and have claimed copyright over it.

Those sounds are ripped directly from the game though. What I hear in the commercial sounds like a complete piece, as if the melody we know so well is only a fraction of a more involved composition.

There are alot of times were I see something and think; "Is that OddFont?".

As I understand it "OddFont" is a fan-made version based on the original, which was not exclusive to Oddworld.

So both OWI and that movie used this "Newport Land" font; which is small and relatively unknown?

I'm pretty sure it's not on Youtube, but the episode is from the 4th season, episode 10; Crime and Punishment Part II (Or just Crime Part II).

I'll see about putting the that scene on youtube when I get around to it.

The Turok soundtrack uses the same musical stingers featured in the AO soundtrack. Give it a listen to see what I mean.

It sounds like a mix between Abe's Oddysee and Bejeweled 2 music

Anyway i've found Sounds from Oddworld in Two diffrent games.
one you might already know.

1. In Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon, The spooky swamp Level has the Abe's Exoddus Bird Sounds in the Main Menu.

2. In Crash 2: Cortrex Strikes Back, The rat enemy has the same sounds as a Scrab.

Actually i have one, there's a sound I first heard in oddworld and now recently hear in many new films/ shows including predator, I can't isolate the sound but its that creaky one

You're right, Paramonia and Endor look just like forests.

As for the Halo thingy, it looks more like the Shadowlock.



EDIT: I can't remember when or why I started calling that the Shadowlock. I think a Shadowlock is something different. The book calls it "the sacred circle at the Monsaic Hidden".
