I have it and its.....Amazing....

Have any of you guys ever had that problem where, you remember an old game, and you think its great and remember how fun it was, so you decide to buy it and play it again. And whilst playing it, you feel, well, in denial, in denial that the game you once loved is, well, Shit.

This has happened to me on MANY different occasions. Safe to say, Oddworld: Abes Oddysee is NOT one of those games.

Finally, after Months of anticipation, Abes Oddysee came to the Australian PSN store (Aka European store). Without delay, i popped my credit card details in and Downloaded it, i even disconnect my Mac (Don't hate me) so it could download faster!

Once it download i popped it on and SOOOO many (good) Memories came back, infact after 3 years of not playing it, i could remember every screen and every control and amazingly, IT WAS (Highlight) BETTER THAN BEFORE!

The Characters the Atmosphere the...well EVERYTHING!

I don't want too bable on too much, i just wanted to share my opinion, so lets get to the point.

Looking at an old Gamefaqs review i did of this game, i gave it an 8.5/10

After playing through the WHOLE game once again, i am actually finding myself giving this a 9.5/10 which is VERY generous considering how harsh i can be on games.

So my question to you guys is!

After Replaying AO (or AE for all you yanks) Did you find it to be better, or worse?

I find this awkward, because my story with Abe's exoddus is exactly the same as the one you just told.
OAE is Just about the most creative game I will ever play, No matter what anyone says or creates.
Okay, I'm done

Well, I played AO and AE about twelve years ago. AO didn't really matter much to me but AE did. Only last year I 100% completed both games. Finally having the patience to complete AO 100%. I've also completed MO and SW.

Games don't change that much, but I got tired of Metal Gear Solid 3 on my 3rd playthrough. Not sure what went wrong there.

Metal Gear Solid is insufferably long and consists mostly of boring, wordy FMVs. It's a fucking feat that you played through it more than once, let alone three times.

I liked the narrative of the MGS games, you just need to be expecting it. I finished the 3rd episode of MGS4 and was met with 45 mins of cutscene, so that was a bit much. It isn't like it makes you watch them, either. I skip most of them.

I've rediscovered the Oddworld games on 2 occasions (I stopped playing them at 3 and found them at 7, then lost shortly after to be found, again, at 11) and have loved the flood of memories and experiences that accompanied it.

MGS4 is only around 25h, hardly insufferably long, Final Fantasy XIII on the other hand....... is.

There's never been a looong period in which I haven't played the Oddworld games so I can't say I've ever rediscovered them.
