Oddworld location lookalikes

Has anyone got photos of places on earth that resemble locations in Oddworld? Do you know any deserts that look like scrabania or the Mudanchee vaults, forests that remind you of Paramonia? Does your backyard look like the stockyards? Well post photos in here.

I'm interested to see if people know locations that resemble screens from the game. I reckon we can get a discussion out of this.

This kinda looks like Scrabania to me. It's Kings Canyon in Northern Territory:

Except for the lack of cacti and elum.

This is a really great idea, by the way. I'm gonna have a photographic holiday!

When the woods near my house get frosty in winter, they kind of look like Paramonia, without all the wooden walkways.

You know how you blow up the Mines but later return there to save your drunk pals? Well, that screen there, my bedroom looks like that.

There's a place I go hiking that has alot of Oddworldian features. There's alot of old grinding stones and large rocks covered in moss and gnarled vines and tree roots. It didn't remind me of any specific location, but is overall very Oddworld-like. It's warm enough now that I can go back and take some pictures. I'll get on that first chance I get.

As for industrial environments; Grand Central Station and Feeco Depot have alot in common, but that was definitely no accident. There's also an old chemical plant near my childhood home that looks like RuptureFarms. Lots of huge pipes and causeways, smokestacks bellowing out black smoke at all hours of the day.

I once went to some French mountains that looked like Paramonia.

Found some pictures of that place I like to go hiking on google. Have a looksee...

These pictures don't do it justice. I'll have to go with a camera myself sometime soon and take some awesome pictures. It really is a beautiful place.

Unfortunately no, its over here in the states.
It's called McConnell's Mills. Its a park out in the countryside. Beautiful spot for hiking, I go there several times every summer.

Wooky hole. About twenty miles from me, looks a lot like the caves in the Monsaic Lines.

Or prehaps the Paramonian temple, now i think of it.

Hmm, I would say more like Monsiac Lines than Paramonian Temple. The Paramonian Temple is mostly wooden and has no water, while Monsiac Lines is more rocky; like in the picture.

Kinda gives me the feeling of Feeco Depot / Sould Storm Brewery screens, just hella smaller and a bit lighter.

The upper picture seems more like the early river artwork, like the Song Engine and the Mudokon Queen carving. The lower one is like the Mongo forest that appeared in SW.

There's a forest near me I've never set foot in but it's a small pine forest that nestles into the four faces of a hill, surrounding me there's a ton of countryside so it always feels like oddworld to me =)

I definitely agree. Trying to find a great picture but can't find one. Hmm.. maybe I'll go and take one myself when I visit Lapland. I think thread is a great so I'm going to contribute by finding places that really look like the places in Oddworld
