Currently a student in BS games design final year, debaiting to stay on for masters or find a work placement.

i doubt you'll take my advice, but i'd do the masters. do the masters and you're more qualified, do the experience and you're more likely to be hired, but in a lower field.

How does masters work from undergradate?

It varies, depending on university.

Masters can possibly help your future career options, but not always. Plenty of jobs would prefer someone with two years' professional experience rather than someone with two extra years of education.
