Nalaka (ODDBODD) Committed suicide

I'm Nalaka's brother in law, I have tragic news to give you.

Yesterday after midnight Nalaka's cousin Troy came into Nalaka's room to find him unconscious and his hands covered in blood. For reasons I cannot tell you, the person you know as Oddbodd had cut his wrist.
He was rushed to the hospital as quickly as possible, and thankfully is still alive but in terrible condition. Nalaka had written a note and in the middle of it was a part for your guys. He told me to tell you that you guys were all a big part of him and he wants to thank you all. He also left a message for a guy named Sydman, it said "Sydney remember what I told you" and that was it.
I hope that he will pull through, you see he has lost a lot of blood and the doctors have done all they can to fix the damage. It is only up to him to do the rest. Please pray for him.

I honestly don't know what to say. When I saw this topic I could physically feel my heart sink. I was speaking to Oddbodd last night on OddChat. Before he left, he said "No matter what happens in the next few days, remember what I told you."

He made me promise not to tell anyone what he said, so I wont, but I never would have guessed he would attempt suicide. My prayers and hopes are with you Oddbodd. I know you'll pull through.

Hi, Sydney. I was expecting a comfirmation before replying to this message, and your reply did that. I came here expecting that it was another joke, but after reading the message posted by Marco (his brother in law) my worries increased.

Nalaka is a great guy. I've talked to him through MSN messenger several times, and I consider him one of my "digital" friends.

Good news. I was at Oddchat a few minutes ago and Oddbodd just dropped in. He said that he was in the Hospital, but he couldn't talk too much, then he leaved. I hope he gets better soon.

Edit: Sorry folks, according to Marco, Nalaka's brother in'law, the person who was at oddchat using the nick "ODDBODD" wasn't him, actually. I really thought it was him.

I read this while at work earlier, actually Sydney told me about the topic, but only now am I posting.

I was driving home from work and just realized that you never think that something like this would happen to someone you know (even someone online). I have chatted to Oddbodd many times in the past (I know Oddbodd, you thought I blocked you, but I just don't use MSN anymore), and would never have thought of this.

We all know Oddbodd as a happy go lucky person who is the first to crack a joke and have a laugh. I guess real life must hold something different for this to happen.

It is good news from Lampion though... I wish Oddbodd a quick recovery... and just remember that us in the forum and Oddworld community are here for you.
