I'm sure the actors are now kicking themselves silly.

I seem to recall a similar incident on the Simpsons * where the voice actors threw their toys out of their pram, said "YOU CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT US!" and demanded more money. Fox let them leave, and the shellshocked actors came crawling on their hands and knees begging for Fox to take them back.
