Native Slig

First and foremost, I know of nothing in the existing OWI canon that supports this image. I just randomly thought of it one day, and thought it was a nice, happy image, and you don't see so many of those in OW. It's an unindustrialised Slig, watching over it's sleeping litter of Sliglets. I tried to make it look less shriveled and undernourished than industrial Sligs.

Facehuggers don't live more than a few hours, they don't grow, they don't have adults or babies... They are only a few seconds old when you meet them so you might think of them as babies but is a baby a baby when it latches onto your face shoves it's penis down your throat and impregnates you?... I think not...

1. - I thought that slig females are gigantic and have live simmiliar to ant queens. And i heard that is only one slig queen - skillya.

2. - I'm not sure because i'm not an oddworld specialist but i think that sligs are race created by other race, not race living free

3. - I also thought that sligs have very delicate eyes and they're tearing when they haven't masks

I know. The Sligs are supposedly a super species, but I did say above the image that this is not accurate to the Oddworld narrative canon. I just thought it was nice. Besides, who says it's not a worker looking after the young? It's ant workers who look after the ant larvae.

They would have originally been a free race, but now the majority are sold to industries at birth. But they are a natural race. They supposedly evolved from slugs.

I don't get these comments. I deliberately made a point of making the eyes seem small, beady and helpless. I get those specifications directly from the Art of Oddworld book, and the Oddworld Encyclopaedia.

Because they are unindustrialised, I tried to make the Sligs look less withered. They probably use their tail in the wild, and as such have more muscular ones. Once again, as said in the caption.

@Fartuess, thank you for all your comments, but I've noticed that almost all of your posts are complaints about someone's fan game or art, Have you ever even tried doing art or a fan game?

I'm not doing fan game because i'm too ambitious. Simple flash game isn't enought for me. Now I'm trying to create 3D scene in Unreal Engine3 looking like rupture farms level, but i don't think i create something interesting because it's too much work

and also i'm not good texturer. If I acheive something interesting, then i will publish it.

Art? I don't remember when was last time when i draw something

Well, just make sure you realise that you will probably spend 10x the amount of time I will developing an engine, and will have to do a lot more debugging. Having said that, you could accomplish something much better than a Flash game if done right.

because i don't want to spam. I've done only Rupture farm barrel model with simple normal map and without any diffuse texture. My main projects are Creating unnoficial levels for Unreal Tournament 3 and Creating some models for Square Crusaders (Witcher modding team). I'm making models for ruptrure farms when i'm bored creating other models

I think you'll find human eyes are delicate as well. As for the Slig origins, some people have pointed out they might have been like hermit crabs.
