Or even, so help me, those who travel halfway across the world for an interview with Lorne Lanning himself.

I guess that would be me. XD I think I visited three times, although once I was over for E3 as well.
Just really adding to what people have already said, but if someone goes out and says they are "superior" to anyone else, then they're really just trying to make themselves sound good. And generally they aren't really superior at all. At least that's pretty much what I've found.
There are many fans of Oddworld and everything else, but they all express their fandoms in different ways. It doesn't mean that any of them are bigger or better than any of the others. Just because you have merchandise, doesn't mean anything. Not everyone can afford stuff, or just don't come across it. And believe me, I have a lot of stuff myself, a lot of it even rarer than the stuff you've listed. But it doesn't make me any more of a bigger fan. I'm just simply someone who likes to collect stuff on the things I am into [I do the same with my other obsessions, Cloverfield and Final Fantasy]. Other people like to write and draw, which is a wonderful talent to have, but not everyone is blessed with these things either. But even some thing as simple as just playing the games, or just having a respect and admiration of the Oddworld Universe are just as important. Actually, I believe that part of being a good fan, is respect to other fans and realising that all of us show our fandoms in our own ways instead of trying to make ourselves sound better than anyone else.
I personally admire Max and Xav for their immense knowledge and ability to find news, because both of those things I have tried to achieve over the years and really didn't do to well, so I guess in a way I admire them for having qualities I would like to have. These guys just manage to know stuff that other people don't, and come up with stuff that you'd think was buried long ago in a vague interview or article somewhere.
