In case you wanted to know...

Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus both work on Windows 7.

I haven't played through them fully but I gave both a quick skim and they look fine, even without compatibility set up.

What's the difference between Vista and 7? 7 seems really pointless from my ignorant point of view.

Well, I haven't used Vista so I can't draw a full comparison. From what I read, there are some interface changes. I suspect, though, that they pushed Windows 7 forward and reduced the number of changes just because Vista was a complete and utter flop. Even though most of the issues with Vista have been ironed out (eg drivers, programs not working properly), people still don't want to touch it. So they need to give the impression of a fresh start to get people excited. And it appears to be working...

It’s the version you download from Steam. It’s the same as the one you can download from GOG.com.

Its been a long time but its good to be back. Nothing has improved since I left. Anyways back to topic.

I have havent even tried using AO or AE on Vista. I know for a fact AE doesnt work on XP. But it is playable but often glitches and most of time I dont save. This is because I can play the whole levels without dying. Played it that much.

Windows 7. You mentioned it is the beta version right? Isn't this just us being rats testing it and report back and we will see full better version Windows 7i or something.

No, it would still be Windows 7. It just would not be Windows 7 Beta.

And both AE and AO work fine on XP for me. It's just one of those things; works fine for some people but not others.
