AE problem on XP again

Yes, again a problem with AE on XP, but little different than the other ones.

If I start AE and I have not the disc in the drive, it says "Put the CD" before the game starts. That's 100% normal, BUT:

When I have the CD correctly in the drive, it goes OK throught the menu, but as the loading screen appears, comes again "Put the CD". I've tried to run it as Win95, but it makes some other errors.

Can you help me? :O

Have you see if you are inserting the right CD rom? What's the default CD-ROM drive?

the default drive is basically the main cd drive of the pc (the one you use to play other games and stuff).
have you tried re-installing the game?that can sometimes fix problems like that.

Odd. Why on other PC's Oddworld games don't run on XP? Mine work. Even on Vista (I had Vista but it's very "un-cool"). With an exception. On Vista the videos were all screwed up on AO. On AE worked perfectly.

Perhaps if you set the configuration, if you can set it. Some games will work on XP if you set the configuration to Windows 95. Give that a try.

I can recommend you an emulator ePSXe. You'll just need a PSX bios file, and getting one on the Internet is illegal.

i managed to find a programme which fixed this fault, although i dont know where it is... Search AE on XP on google and there will be a site, where there is a zip file to download, which when you extract allows the game to work fine. I'll Pm you the site if i find it
