Wow... This was bound to happen. OWF has been in happy-candy land too long.
Honestly.. I don't get why people online must be so strict with rules... Not that I think owf is too strict as it once was, but it's just a general thing on my mind. So many forums have so many ridiculous rules that everyone must follow, so that staff-members can feel like they have something to do.
Why I'm writing this? I dunno.. it's not too relevant.
But I generally don't care about *shocking* threads and such.. Let them be or close them. More will pop up in the future I bet.
Funny thing is though that first mods let Oanst get away with everything, then it suddenly hits some people: He has gotten too much freedom to do anything
Gotta tighten that leash, huh?
But all in all... My opinion is that whatever happens on an online forum does not really deserve all this controversy and whining and stuff(learned that the hard way)...
Just let things be and don't hold grudges against anyone. I don't why people look for so much trouble all the time.
Personally, I don't mind Oanst's thread. Probably cos I don't care about things too much. I think that whoever got raped, needs to get help and get over it. Not meant in a negative way, but I feel quite bad for those who go around with heavy burdens. And for those that didn't experience anything like that... Why would we need to constantly worry about everyone else? I know it's a heavy subject, but if we start censoring ourself for others... What about all other controversial discussions and jokes? Soon everyone will go in taboo-mode again, and no one can discuss anything freely with anyone. I'm not saying that people absolutely NEED to be able to tell everyone else who they wanna rape(I doubt anyone would really want to anyway)... But I just think that they need to loosen up. If someone creates a rape-thread, so be it.. If it gets closed.. Don't make any more fuss about it than necessary. It was a very gray area anyway. Tried your luck, but you can't be lucky all the time, can you?
Hm.. I don't really know where I wanted to go with this.
