Walk Past Enemies Glitch

How do you get the walk past enemies glitch? I can't hear any click between the red and green UXB blinks.

I’ve never heard of such a glitch. Are you interested in some kind of noclip mode? Because there are some handy instructions on how to activate this glorious toy for AO and AE.

I've heard of this glitch, I've tried it a billion times and I know it's fake. Also I think Meech has the PS version of AO and AE and can't activate the Noclip mode on his version.

It's called invincibility.

Indeed it is. But wait, he didn't specify what game he was on about. He could've meant Oddysee or Exoddus! If it's Oddysee, he has been trying out the UXB glitch which is either fake or too hard to do.

Well then it's impossible. There is no glitch for walking past enemies, even invincibility is impossible.

In both Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus when you have the Shrykull power and chant when near an electric gate thingy Abe will be invincible. BUT in AO he still can get eating or shot at. But AE he will stay invincible.

Do you know any places in Abe's Oddysee with Shrykull and electric barriers?

Yes I think the Shrykull power is in second Zulag in the middle door. Or you could check for yourself cause I'm not sure.

Anyway get it after you've been to the other doors. After you get it DON'T use it just pull all the levers in that Zulag so you can go to the next one. After you go to Zulag 3 there should be a Slog sleeping near by sneak to the left past the sleeping Slig and up by the electric barrier don't get to close or you die. Then just chant. Now you can walk passed the electric barrier but can't go through the doors.

There is a "glitch" to walk past enemies. :P At least in AO anyway. I think you can do it in parts of AE too. It's more an exploit.

You simply have to stand on the edge of the screen and cross into the next screen just as the Slig or whatever crosses the screen too. They won't see you, or if they do, they'll shoot but won't hit you.

But every AO and AE player should know this. :P

Do you mean how when you appear in the next screen, you take 2 more steps, turn around and jump? That only works while you're standing there.

Yup. You can also possess the Slig that way.

The glitch is impossible yes, but actually gaining Invincibility, not so impossible if you use something Like an Action Replay or XPloder cheat disc or something, but cheating just ruins the game

Hm, I did once have a glitch (and I've seen a video from someone else getting the same glitch, too) where a slog followed Abe as if abe was a slig... but that's about it...

Even with them I haven't seen such a code. AE has invincibility tho.

With invincibility (in AE obviously), get shocked by two or more Greeters simultaneously. Abe will often have changed to an electric blue colour, lots of variation of this, moulded around his body shape. Also, sometimes, he turns invisible from this, and all you can see are his shadow and smoke clouds from running etc. Has no effect on enemies seeing you, unfortunately.

MeechShrykull, I don't really recall there being many electric barriers at all in AO not nearly as many as AE, seldom how much shorter that game is and the rarity of getting to use the Shrykull powerup.

The cheat disk for the PlayStation is called GameShark. The only way to be invincible in the PC version is ddcheat.

Hardly cheating. More like reverse engineering.

Isn't the GameShark a memory cartridge device? I thought it worked by modifying the saves on it.

I borrowed an X...something or other for PS1. The only cheats it had were "99 Mudokons" pretty much. Same for AE, but with invincibility (though that's in game anyway).

It operates by placing the disc in, loading cheats, then swapping discs with the game u want the cheats on. I would have assumed the Gameshark PS1 would work similarly, but I haven't seen one to know. Action Replay PS2 operates via the same disc method.
