Spyro the Dragon

Wow it's been a while since I've played it. =o
I was just wondering if anyone else has played the game before. Well the very first one anyway. It's in my list of favorite Playstation games.

I've played all the Spyro games released by Insomniac Games. Loved them all to bits, but would not be able to pick a favourite, as they all have such distinct qualities for me.

Spyro 1, the originality. Spyro 2, the new style of gameplay and worlds. Spyro 3, the expansive field of gameplay and storyline.

My brother had a secret demo for spyro on crash-team-racing and another that came on a demo disk but they were spyro 2. I'm sure I have played the original one before but don't know where...
Anyways those days brought awesome games and only take me back to remembering good old Croc.

I think that Spyro, along with Crash bandicoot should of been buried a long time ago

Crash 3 was the one that had the Spyro 1 demo.

I liked the original game, the bosses, I think were fun...even if I can't remember them all.

There was the sheep on stilts, the witchdoctor, then I forget the 3rd one, then the Robot, then the bouncing box-thrower, then the main villain?

I have all three of the Spyro games for Playstation. Never liked the new ones. Now it's not even Spyro anymore. Same with Crash.

Yeah and the demos where awesome too.

PS1 Spyro = Win.

All other Spyro = Phail.

Some for Crash Bandicoot, they really should have been buried while they were ahead. This is what new developers do to things, we can see...

The age of all non-Mario platformers is well and truly over, after the awfulness that was PS2 platforming I doubt many will mourn their loss.

Spyro used to be my favorite game (before I discovered AO). The first three spyro games were best. When they went to ps2 they turned rubbish.

i really think some ps1 games were some of the best games ever made, they just seemed more fun and original to play than now.dont get me wrong, lots of "todays" games are excellent(being a 360 owner)but games like ao and ae you just cant beat.

Yeah and it's getting really hard to find some of the old Ps1 games too. I can't find my Spryo the Dragon booklet for the game. But I'm keeping my old games nice and safe.

Yeah I agree with you Fuzzle King.

You obviously forgot about Jak and Daxter when you posted that, but don't worry, I forgive you.

I didn't. The controls for one I tried bent my right fingers into much pain.

Ratchet and Clank hurt worse. Also, the really bright-coloured multiplayer was bleh.

I dunno, but the other dude had it set up so the X button fired and the right-thumbstick was aiming, so it was really awkward.

I loved all the old school spyros. He was such a cutie, and wasn't so arrogant (as he was in that one with Red)

On Jak at least, which I was just playing, R1 was shoot and there was smart auto-aim. I remember it being the same for Ratchet, though I only played a demo of that, and it was way back.
