Playing through the stories as games and not just watching them engages you more in the story, if it's done right. If it's not, you're just focusing on the gameplay and the entire plot goes over your head. It's like you're living the experience and deciding, as your character, what to do next.
I've got nothing against films, hell, Lorne's a brilliant director, but I was really hoping that he would prove what he was saying about videogames having immense potential as far as storytelling goes. If he decided to switch to films, that's his decision, and I understand that much more profit comes from being in the movie industry at the present times, but sometimes I can't help wishing that he'd done more for the game industry before moving on. His philosophy was, after all, successful.
