There was the brilliant LucasArts games but now
Telltale have put together a new version. It's actually a series of six shorter games, each one taking a couple of hours. They're following a tv-series style of plot in that each episode stands alone but contributes to a greater plot.
Well, anyway, I finished Episode 3: Abe Lincoln Must Die last night and I must say that it's very near the top of my list of Funniest Games of All Time. It starts off with the Freelance Police being called to Washington to investigate the president, who happens to be a rather unintelligent hick who's saying absurd things and playing a scare campaign to win reelection. For one thing, he's discriminating against all those people with fudge. Oh, and the Vice-President is a potted plant.
As things go with Sam and Max, one thing leads to another which leads to the president being decapitated and the statue of Abe Lincoln coming to life to run for reelection. Thus Max (the psychotic rabbity thing) has to run in opposition and attempt to destroy America's most-loved President's credibility (and hold off Nader at the same time).
That's my vibe of the whole thing; I'd like to know if anyone else has played any of the new series.
