What's the meaning of Abe's moon?

Sorry for asking that.

I always wondered what's the real meaning of that moon. I mean, the glukkons are like these business men, the mudokons are like the restrained natives... Oddworld is like industrials VS nature.

But what exactly does the moon with Abe's pawprint on it mean?

It sort of shows he's done well and his prophecy has came true, he was meant to save the Muds and he did so, and the moon shows he's done great things.
It's like with Munch's foot on the other moon, that only appeared after he blew Vykker's Labs up.

Good question...

Maybe. But the moon was also there before Abe started his journey.

It's a massive coincidence. Possibly. Though considering just how many moons Oddworld has...

Really it's a massive mystery, and it will stay that way.

The purpose of the moons. I think every major champion of Oddworld (e.g. Abe, Munch) has it's own moon. And I think that that is the generally accepted idea.

It’s called Abe’s Moon, but I’m not quite sure why. Its face looks like it matches any Mudokon’s paw, and all Mudokons look up to it as a symbol of hope and perseverance. Its appearance long ago is responsible for catalysing the conflict between Glukkons and Mudokons, so it does have a sinister backstory that modern Mudokons probably aren’t aware of.

You could interpret it as a what‐if: what if a society had physical evidence that they interpreted as a sign that they were superior to other races? That’s what the Mudokons did, and it turned back against them.

Abe's Moon says that the Mudokons are the chosen ,,people'' to save Oddworld from destruction, because Glukkons are poluating and destroing it!

So it's like a symbol of hope?

Yes, I was just going to say that basically it signalized that the Mudokons are the 'chosen people' (I'm not really sure what is entailed by that). And a long time ago the Glukkons saw that and got jealous and started supressing the Mudokon culture.

The moon is very mysterious and hard to explain what it represents, but you all described it well. Personally I think it's one the coolest things about the games.

At the end of Abe's Exxodus when I saw all the Mudokons raise their hands to match the moon it conveyed hope to me.
