Wired Wikipedia- For Wingnuts!

Well, I recently found a hilarious site run by some home schooled freeper-type fundie. It's called Conservapedia, and is a little like Wikipedia, only without, y'know facts, logic, or sanity.

Here's a link; http://www.conservapedia.com/

Some of their best gems are around religion. (http://www.conservapedia.com/Essay:_Liberal_Falsehoods) Apparently, Ronald Friggin Reagan is a liberal. Aliens are a liberal lie! Evolution is false! Terra is 6000 years old!. Now this short bus begins to crash and burn like a hijacked airplane full of Down's syndrome children, although quite frankly the intellectual quality of some of this tripe makes Helen Keller look like Marilyn Vos Savant.

X million people can't be wrong! Surely, that and BS science from some wingnut observatory in Wackaquerque is far better than virtually every single piece of scientific evidence in the world! And that transitional fossil thing? Even CreationWiki thinks that argument is fallacious. (http://creationwiki.org/Arguments_cr...should_not_use)

"Creation scientists assert bla bla bla tired old BS arguments from Hovind wannabees blah blah blah"
How cute. For that matter, I heard Orwellian scientists say that 2+2=5. However, both they and the creationist "scientists" they quote have about as much actual evidence for their views as there is for Luna being made of cheese.

And here we trot out the usual tired fundy BS. Never mind the "essay" they take from a site that takes from Focus on the Fundie Family is actually labeled at the very beginning as a parody. (http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/pwh/swift1.html). It’s like the fundies taking that Onion article about Harry Potter causing a rise in Satanism as proof of their delusional, idiotic fantasies. Also, I was unaware that gay people were a monolithic group. Then again, I was also unaware that The Joos(TM) were a monolithic group. I suppose there is absolutely no disagreement or dissent (http://www.plagal.org, http://gaypatriot.org, http://www.logcabin.org/, http://www.indegayforum.org/) whatsoever.

#1 is fine, though I don't get the anti-Wiki prohibition.
#2, ditto
#3. An encyclopedia is supposed to be a repisitory of knowledge. And quite frankly, if I had kids, I'd be far more concerned about them viewing vile propaganda such as conservapedia and it's factually inaccurate, misleading nonsense than any "unclean" "foul" content.
#4. Now, the stopped clock is right. I've always wished that retarded CE nonsense was expunged from Wiki. I don't object to secular dating, I object to labeling religious dating secular dating.
#5 is fine, although they heavily violate it themselves.
#6, not touching that issue
#7, that's an excellent rule.

This is a laughable crock of grade A bull. Their YEC section is
"Followers in Young Earth creationism have a different set of beliefs about the Earth. The Bible states in Genesis that the entire earth was formed in six days. Young Earth creationists believe, as Biblical chronology suggests, that the Earth was formed in 4004 B.C. Mainstream scientific journals discriminate against this point of view for "lack of evidence", despite large amounts of Biblical evidence backing this theory.[1][2][3][4]

In addition, most scientists also believe believe that the earth formed by natural processes instead of being supernaturally created. However, as one scientist recently noted, “... most every prediction by theorists about planetary formation has been wrong.” [5] "

Yeah, because 6 days MUST be literal. Ignore the many instances of metaphorical language in the Bible selectively to justify your own idiocy. And that last part of the first paragraph is just idiocy.
"WAAAAAH! THE BIG MEANIE SCIENTISTS DEMAND EVIDENCE! WAAAH! BITCH! WHINE!"
Science is all about evidence, you frecking pond-scum retards. What the hell school did you go to? And using the fundie interpretation of the Bible to prove the fundie interpretation of the Bible.. that is bald faced fallacious reasoning.

The logic of this retarded bunch of assclowns, illustrated.

And here is their retarded little propaganda list.

I suspect this is probably the same crowd of subhuman filth that infest that so called website Free Republic. And for now, my dirty work and showing you that I am not critical solely of liberals is done.

I think this entire encyclopedia should be submitted to Fundies Say the Darndest Things. And this image (http://packy.dardan.com/walky/albums.../agm.thumb.jpg) sent to it's webmaster.

Anyone else feel like wading through this pile of dung to dig up more travesties and idiocy?

That really filled me in.

What a great site.

That's probably a copyright issue.

Okay, in that case it's probably more to do with the basic unreliability of wikipedia as a source.

That creation wiki page is marvellous. What isn't flat out wrong is devastating to their own claims, since that appears to be a roundabout summary of the whole deal. One little gem I did procure from it though:

:
speciation is not evolution

...Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?

I particularly enjoyed the stub on Liberal Falsehoods. I looked a little further into the site and found this, which in conjunction with the aforementioned page sums up the site in its entirety.

Wiki is fairly reliable on many sources. It has about the same about of errors as Encyclopedia Britannica. And even if it were basically unreliable, next to this, Wikipedia looks like LGF.

You want something hillarious? You might as well try here:
http://uncyclopedia.org

And read this from the site:
:
Grand Theft Auto III is a video game of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, famous for its endorsement of non-violent protest and metaphysical musings. Often the target of Video Game Criticism.
If i got it right...

And this:
:
Liberty City is known for its rich, ethnic heritage, good drivers, and a complete lack of any trace of crime whatsoever, all of which are portrayed in the game with total accuracy.

Uncyclopedia is a parody. Conservapedia, sadly, probably isn't, considering what I've seen on wingnut sites like Free Republic.

Conservapedia is almost certainly a parody. 'Coz if it weren't, it would be fucking terrifying.
