The Oddinator I

Well, since I'm such a Terminator nut, I decided to write a fan-fic in
Oddworld style about the first book/movies of the series. Basically,
Abe is the terminator in this one. I'm still trying to figure out who the
victims should be, so I'm going to take it slow.

Warning: Violence!

Chapter 1

LOCATION: Sol Gevas
TIME: Midnight
OBJECTIVE#1: Obtain clothes and vehicle

Abe arrives:

The wind blew trash and rubbish through the streets Sol Gevas. In a dark alley
miles away from the heavily populated area of the city a dim crackling
orb lit up the dark street as blue electric bolts extended from the large orb and were
electrocuting everything from dumpsters to old rusted slig bikes. The orb grew
larger and brighter and a fierce heat filled the alley; then it stopped.

On the red hot ground was a naked mudokon kneeling with his
eyes closed on a patch of melted tar. Abe slowly raised his head and
opened his eyes to study his surrounding. While standing up, his eye vision
zeroed in to study the smoking slig bikes, the dumpsters and trash bins
and the rubbish that was flapping around in the wind of which some of it
was still alight from the extreme heat of the orb he arrived in.

He sensed the sounds of voices a short distance away and started towards
them. After three turns in the dark alleys he spotted two figures standing
near a back entrance to a blown out building. Abe enhanced the image
and saw that the figures, both short and tall, were in fact a mudokon and a slig
who were leaning against the brick wall of the building casually chatting
and smoking. Beside them was a slig bike large enough to support them
both. Abe X-rayed them for potential weapons with his eyes and he located a knife at
the mudokon's waist and a small pistol hanging off the slig pants. He
approached them, stark-naked. As soon they saw him, they pulled out their
weapons and approached Abe.
Whaddaya, doin' in our alley, punk?" the slig growled.
Abe, completely oblivious that he was in any danger responded commandingly
to the mudokon. "I need your clothes, your boots and-" he turned to the slig,
"-your bike!" They both laughed greasily.
"I ain't nothin' to give you, sonny boy," said the slig. "But maybe you got somethin'
to give us!" The slig who was no more than two feet away from Abe raised his
pistol. Abe's hand shot out, grabbed the slig pistol hand and twisted. From
the look of surprise and agony on the slig face it was clear he had shattered
it's wrist and broke it's hand. The mudokon lunged forward and jammed the knife into Abe's
left shoulder. He dropped the slig sending it toppling to the floor clutching
it's hand and grabbed the mudokon's hand which was still holding the knife
in Abe's shoulder and tore the blade from his flesh, twisted the hand around
breaking the mudokon's right arm bones and drove the knife in the mudokon's
own shoulder. The mudokon screamed in pain and Abe grabbed it on it's
uninjured arm, swung it, and sent it flying through a shattered glass window
in the burned out building.

Abe looked down at the slig who was still clutching it's hand and looking up at
him fearfully.
"Odd, don't kill me!" it gasped. Abe walked around it's body and walked
into the doorless entrance of the burned out building. Everything was black
ashes in the midnight gloom but Abe enhanced the image more and the enviornment
grew brighter. The mudokon lay dead in a pile of rubbish. Abe forced the
clothes off it and slid into it's boots.

Fully dressed he walked out and back over to the slig who was attempting
to crawl on the street away before he could reach it. Abe quickly caught up
with it at his slowest walking mode. He bent over the slig and pulled off the
keys to the bike from a loop on it's pants. Then he turned his back on it,
walked over to bike and climbed on. He sped away into the black night
leaving his dirty work behind.
_______________________________________________________________
You're all probably wondering why a slig and mudokon were chatting casually.
It was something I created as a background excuse that I call basically the
"Integration", in which all of Oddworld intelligent creatures came together.
Meaning sligs can stand next to mudokon as easily as glukkons can stand
next to gabbits. I'm still working on the prologue chapter about the Integration.

By the way, Sol Gevas is Los Vegas on Oddworld.

Thanks, Jordan. I've already written the second chapter and I'll have
it up later once I do a final check.

Hmm, I never was a real good person counting down or up, so that's
long outdated.

Chapter 2

I decided to rewrite the second chapter with Alf's arrival instead of Abe arriving at the gun shop for a chapter with no killing. As you might see,
Alf is basically like that Kyle Reese guy from the Terminator movies. A living
being that goes back through time.

Here we are:

Chapter 2

Alf Arrives:

Another crackling orb of electricity lit up the parking lot in front of an old abandoned warehouse.
Seconds later Alf rose from his kneeling position and quickly walked off the melted patch of tar
which was begginning to burn his feet. He too, wore no clothes. The only difference was that he
was alive.

The air had finally begun to warm as late morning came. Using his sharp fingernails, Alf picked the
rusty lock of a door into the warehouse and pulled up the garage door. The walls were stacked high
with old dusty wooden crates all stamped with the old Magog Cartel logo of a glukkon's head. Many of
the crated were shattered and their contents were strewn everywhere. He looked to one of the crates
that wasn't broken and standing alone that had the word CLOTHES stamped on it in black block-like
letters.

Alf took and axe from a wall and began to hack at the crate. Within minutes he was digging through
old musty smelling clothes. He chose mudokon jeans and a plain black shirt and sweater. Over the
hour he dug through the contents of other crates and found old cans of expired food which he picked
open with his fingernails ate in disgust at the vile taste. He found a crate with ammunition boxes and
a crate with a single model of shotguns in it. He made a make-shift sling and belt out of the loops in
some old cloths and fitted himself with ammo clip and two shotguns. He pulled on some mudokon
socks and a pair of black leather riding boots, as well.

With that done, he walked back outside and closed the garage door behind him. He had to find his
ride so he could get to and around the city ahead. As if on cue the rumbling sound of a slig bike roared
up from further ahead the empty road that passed the warehouse's parking lot. Alf walked onto
the street in front of the slig's path just as the slig bike rounded a corner a sped towards him fast.
The slig on it slammed the brakes and skidded to a halt just bare feet from Alf.
"Damn it, are you okay?" the slig asked. Alf walked around the bike and wordlessly shoved the
slig off onto the road. "I need your bike," was he said. Without any further words he climb on the bike
and revved the engine.
"Hey, that's-" the slig started but recieved a mouthful of exhaust fume as Alf sped away off down the road.

Great second chapter Spirrow, a lot of detail! I'd love to see some art for this!
