Widescreen Resolution

Im not sure how active these forums are, but I just bought Abe's Oddysey. It works perfectly Windows XP.

However, I use a 20" widescreen monitor and i cant seem to find a way to play it in a window (as opposed to having it stretch out fullscreen the way it normally does).

It still looks decent the way it works, but can get very pixelated (especially at the cut scenes). Anyone got any advice?

This will be best answered in Off-Topic Discussion, as it doesn't center particularly on Oddworld alone (I'm assuming other older games have the same problem).

If I had to make an educated guess, I would say that AO and AE simply aren't formatted for widescreen because they're so old.

You may just be out of luck.

Its not that I want to play them Widescreen, but that I dont want them to stretch out into widescreen.

The solution would be to play it in a window. Im hoping that is possible.

Uh, I dunno, try using AO in compatibility mode, that's what I do. Try in in Windows 98/ME mode
