Maybe Ruby isn't activated...? Just tell her to check her e-mail and see if she can activate her account. Wait, do the OWFs do account activation? It's been a long time since I joined.
I know Stotty is registered because it says/said on the new members thing that he was new.

I think Alcar or someone on the staff activates your account because
the day I joined I couldn't post, the next day I could. I'd have to check
my inbox with some 400 odd emails consisting of crap and promotions from websites I've joined to see whether I
had to activate it myself.

Yeah. Maybe you should get an automated activation system, poor Alcar must be fed up by now IF he does it personally, and half of them don't even log on. It says in the "Newest Member" box though.

I think this person's account is already activated, since you can view his profile. Usually, when it isn't activated, it just goes to a page that says you aren't authorized to view the page. Perhaps he doesn't know his account has been activated or something?

bored with it, leave and never return. Then again it depends whether

I was starting out okay on another popular
forum before I found the wonders of the Oddworld Forums and became
addicted to it.
