Scrabs survive any height except infinite because they're not proggrammed to die from heights, as there are no areas where they may otherwise be able to reach that the game creators don't want them to get there. Some Paramite areas, there are palces they're not meant to reach, so they go splat.
Once in one Scrab area, one with a weird hole that a Scrab falls through, but it's a well you can go in. Once I judged the lever a little too late and the Scrab went up. So, I pulled the lever again and waited for it to get 2 screens up then come down. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a Scrab falls on me and kills me. Gave me a shock, that did. That was two screens odd.
Also, in the area, that's currently being described, I once got the pulley down without the Scrab getting on it. It fell down 2 screens, but when I got down there, it was fighting the other one.
Weirdos.
I tried possessing the Scrab (invincibilty) in the AE 'final' Scrab level, and tried to drop it to the Slog. The game never loaded the second screen after I sent it down. Damn. Would've been fun, too.
Oh, another funny thing: In AE, the secret where you have to trap the Scrab in a box (invincibility again) I went down the platform with the Scrab attacking me. Then I got it off, and made the pulley go up when I was still down there (somehow, I think). The scrab jumped over the pit towards me...well, tried to. It hit the box above and plummeted to it's death, screaming.
That was just SO funny when it happened.
But....how come Scrabs can fall from heights like that, but not make the massive thud that Mudokon's and Sligs do? WEIRD.
Also in AO< in the Scrab final run, I screwed the first jump up and clung onto the edge. For some reason (I've tried it many times and it only worked this once) the Scrab screwed it up to, and leapt straight into the gaping pit.
Stupid things. Oh, and if they kill you with a kick but knock you off of a cliff, then they walk off after you. Honestly, they're glitchy weird AND braindead.
