Hmmmm...DVD or Big screen?

i don't know if there has been a thread on this??? anyways..
Ive been panicking/thinking really badly will the oddworld movie be on DVD first or big screen ??????????????????

because if it is on DVD will be able to be sold in England??? or will it only be able ordered from America??
and big screen will it be showing in England???

really frustrating............

Being that OWI needs a successful move, going to DVD first, would not be a good idea. And I wouldn't see how come they wouldn't publish the big screens in Europe won't be able to show the Oddworld movie, and for the same reason. Also, if they are going to keep the three finger thing, I would think that the Oddworld movie would go many countries.

So don't worry, everything will be fine.

Actually, 'if people will see it' question can only hope it's like Star Wars. For those who don't know, when the very first movie (orginal trilogy) was being made, the actors and the people making the movie thought it was going to be a horrible movie. They even thought that the years spent making it was a waste of their life. Little did they know, the movie was going to be an absolute success.

So we just have to hope it's a new movie that enough people like it, to continue the Quintology.

it's not even half way done, they can't give that kind of answers

what I can tell you is that Lorne KNOWS Oddworld has many fans in Europe, so I guess he won't neglect them.

Maybe it'll be like Star Wars...but maybe the fact that it was a game series may put people off.
...at least it's not a movie THEN a game. Game's of movies just plain SUCK. Well, 99% of the time...

I guess there will be new stories about the characters. I mean if it is a movie about Abe then without Rupture Farm or something else which the fans know already. That would be too boring.
You know, I think Lanning will tell another story with the leading character.

It is Abe's story about freeing his friends from Rupturefarms. I think if it wasn't about that the fans would be disappointed. But by the very nature of being a film, it will be told in a sufficiently different way to be interesting to all.

I don't think this will go straight to DVD. Lorne Lanning wants to catch a wider audience to oddworld so I guessing there will be official launch. I don't think it will be a national launch like star wars, xmen or harry potter. All released on the same day in cinema worldwide.

Stranger's maid, how different is it...how much different can you make Abe's oddysee if this is the story being made. Changing something will distort the fans. X3 did just that!

It will be in theaters, but the advertisement will be at a minimum. That's my belief.

Seeing as CG movies are all the rage at the moment, whichever company distributes the film will probably spend mucho moolah promoting it, so that every man and his dog knows about it and sees it.
