I've heard the date is going to be something like 6/6/6 soon and the world's gonna end. I don't really think so but you never know...

My guess is some bad things may happen since people will use the date as reason to do so. I think humans will cause problems on that date not some mighty being or disaster.

If that's true, then the world would have ended in the actual year 6. It's 2006 for all the lunk heads who think the world will end based on a date, plus a date 2000 years after thew actual date when it should have happened.

Truth be told though, something bad could happen. Al Qaida and other terrorist networks are always up to their nefarious schemes.

Technicaly the date will be 2006/06/06 and not 666 {the number of the demon}.
Going by Numerology (or Gematria for those of you that know the difference), this date do not have the same ultimite values as the number 666.

Also, going by gematria closer to the time the prophecy was written that "the number of the demon is 666", you could use this value to say "Caesar Nero" {and one other Ceasar that I can't remember off-hand}

I don't like to taunt God in trying to guess the world's end date.

I fear that he has a dark sense of humor that would lead him to end it on the day if I say it absolutely wouldn't happen.

But yea, 666... it's a great date for a terrorist attack. And something is bound to happen somewhere where people will say: OMG ITS THE DEVIL Z0MG!
Hopefully nothing major tho. Would be cool if hell opened up right underneath the white house, now that would be awsome.

Yeah.... but if you think about it, it still happened. The whole 666 thing is a load of crap though. I believe the Nostrodamus (spelling?) thing more. He predicted the falling of the Twin Towers.

No, just some really old seer (Nostradamus? Don't know if it was or was not him) who was thought to be right about some things said "The number of the beast is 666" {or something to that effect}, refering to something that would destroy the world. Guess what: it's a belief. Which means even if you don't believe it, by the rules of these forums you should not point and laugh.

Actually it's from Revelations. Although plenty of scholars actually think the number of the beast is 669. In any case, taking a number from the Gregorian calender is ridiculous as its starting point is approximately four years from Jesus' birth and the beginning of the year has been changed a few times so June being the sixth month is rather arbitrary.

Even if 060606 isn't a great date, there's one in Holland there's something very unique. We write our dates with the day first, then the month. So may 4th would be: 0405.

Now the thing is, om may 4th, there's this unique thing. Because, on 01.02 and 03 sec, the numbers will say:

01-02-03-04-05-06. Something that won't happen for another 100 years.

I was referring to OANST's last post. You know, before things got out of hand.

As for the 666, I think it's interesting that, you know, back in the day, all letters had a numerical value. The letters in Nero Caesar's name added up to 666.

When everybody thought that Ronald Reagan was the anti-Christ because each of his three names had six letters, no one really pointed out that everybody was looking at the significance of 666 in the wrong way. It's the value of the letters in the leader's name that adds up to the Mark of the Beast, not the number of letters.

However, many people believe that allegorical sections of the bible, like Revelations, will fit into the "mold" of the society in which they're read. So I guess Ronald Reagan really could have been the devil.
