In all honesty, I don't think OWI will be successful in their plight to make a movie. I mean, I'm hoping like hell, but I don't think their games have had nearly the amount of success needed to branch into filmmaking.
OWI has a tendency to start projects they never finish, or change the project into something entirely different. If anything comes out of this, it will likely be another game, I think that's a more noble path than trying to squeeze a movie out of a dry well (thanks a fucking heap, EA). At least with another game in the works, they have a shot at repaving their road to success which will inevitabley lead them into the movie industry with a well-rounded, popular adventure game under their belt.
I just think Lorne has a problem with waiting that long, and that's going to drag OW down even lower. We saw the Fangus concept, Lorne was scrambling to rekindle success by breaking down and making a game that appealed to the gun-happy masses. Thank Odd, the game went under. Unfortunately, so did OWI.
