Dude, I'm pissed.

We found this little cat, and we're keeping him.

Well, he was abandoned. He's so sweet, and he is absolutely beautfiul- I can't understand how someone-anyone- could abandon such a good animal.

You can SEE ihs bones sticking up, feel them, he's so light, and his fur is matted to hell with stickers.

But we're working on that.

But I still can't understand the intolerable cruelty and laziness that some people have towards animals. If they didn't want the little guy, coulkdn't they have tooken him to the pound, or given him away?

Why the hell did they leave that poor thing to starve inside an old apartment, until Fred the maintenance dude found him?

God, some people are just so... >,< Can't think of a word for it.

My family takes in strays that we find too. A few had gotten to that condition before we saved them... 'Tis a sad thing, and I know how angry you feel.

Of course, humans also abandon their own young these days, so what can you expect from such a race especially toward something outside its species?

I know...all animal lovers can't understand why. If they don't like'em, and kick'em like a football, why don't they sell them?

Many people simply think of animals as just that, animals.

I'm not saying anything is wrong with this train of thought, nor am I saying that it's right.

I treat animals as another being, but to some people it's simply an animal.

You see?

I too don't getc how people can just abandon animals. I absolutely love naimals, especially cats, and I have 2. One of them i fact is adopted- turned up at our house one day and kept coming back. we searched everywhere for his owner, going to vets, calling nearby houses, doing anything, but we couldn't find the owner, so we took him in. It may also explain his hatred of cardboard boxes- he might have been abandoned in one.
But yeah, I have no idea how people can just abandon their pets. If a stray or abandoned animal turned up at our house again, we'd take it in. We once took in a kitten briefly and were then fortunate enough to find its owner, but some people would just leave the poor thing. People like that are just intolerable.

Humans think that Animals are lower than them. Personally, being an alien, I think they're the same on the Creature rights scale. They're living creatures, aren't they?

Anything alive has rights and should be treated as an equal.

I think the reason some people consider animals lower is becuase they can't talk or something..

Is it true that animals can't see colour or is that just bull**** like I think it is? I've look at my dog's eyes and their exactly the same as mine. Exact shape and size and colour.

Well, dogs were thought to be dichromats and thus, by human standards, colour blind. New research is now being explored that suggests that dogs may actually see some colour, but not to the extent that humans do. It has also been suggested that dogs see in varieties of purple/violet and yellow shades. Because the lenses of dogs' eyes are flatter than humans', they cannot see as much detail; on the other hand, their eyes are more sensitive to light and motion than humans' eyes. Some breeds, particularly the best sighthounds, have a field of vision up to 270° (compared to 180° for humans), although broad-headed breeds with their eyes set forward have a much narrower field of vision, as low as 180°.

They do have souls and feelings. Why dont they sell them if they dont want them. I hate people who just abandon and abuse animals.

I'd like to know exactly what this "soul" you keep talking about is. Animals are pretty great though, at this point its hard to imagine life without my dog.

Albeit I have no religion, I know there just has to be a part of us that lives on somehow. A soul, if you will. Animals have one too but maybe not all of them, like those with little to no emotions. Like insects, they probably dont.

You know how it goes, all animals are equal but some are more equal than others.

Oh no! you comrades have found me out! * rips off mask , exposing giant stalin moustache * Kaputnik!

No , im not a communism fella , just a poor , tormented soul who has no friends and trys to steal his best friends girlfriend.

A lady once came to our door once , she had a wet kitten with her with a brick tied around its neck with nylon . She had seen a man dump this cat in a river , and run away , so we looked after the poor thing ( it had worms ) and handed it to the SPCA , we checked in to the SPCA the next day , and someone had brought it aroun 20 minutes after we left him , its good to see he went to a good family , it brings tears of joy to my eyes
