I have a bad feelin' they might be (focusing on movies and other media), but, that's jus' what A've thought after reading some interviews 'n' crap. I hope they do make some more games, though; ah hope they finish the quintology T_T The Oddworld games are so unique.

I wanted to play the Brutal Ballad of Fangus...but then we got some of the concept art and Togg... it didn't even look like Oddworld!

It looked too human-like to be...well...Odd
Yep...I believe Lorne is only now workin' on his first movie...
If he gets this right, I believe he'll start to think 'bout the last Oddworld game of the quintology.
(Although, I believe Stranger's Wrath was left at a cliffhanger. But then, it could be to all the aspiration of Oddworld fans to make up a story and continue Stranger from where they thought. Like the Blair Witch project!)

Not to mention the third and fourth games.

My understanding is that OWI are currently working towards their first film, but that after that all forms of media are open to them, including games. It won't be the same development team coding the games as before, though, but OWI will still remain the creative force. Lorne has spoken about timing films and games to be released at the same time, as is the trend nowadays.

You don't have to worry about it.
For now, Oddworld Inhabitants is working on a Film, but later on, Oddworld will make an appearance in all sorts of forms. Including, once again, Games.

I just hope Oddworld doesn't work with EA anymore, EA is an evil company that kills good games, like I have heard different things but mainly EA screwed Oddworld on Marketing and stuff because oddworld diddnt make a ps2 port for Stranger, and people say the PS2 cant handle the game, but ps2 handles God of War and Shadow of the Collosus very well, but I hate EA they made oddworld lose money and they killed the Command and Conquer series made by westwood. sorry that was a bit off topic but i just hope they get a different sponsor.

Oh and I know raymond swanland's email address but like are we allowed to email fan mail telling him how great he is through that email address or does he have one specifically for fan mail?

*Shutters* EA, the only two games sucessfully made with EA were Stranger's Wrath and The Sims. Don't care much for those Basketball 'N' football games.

If you want to know the real reason Oddworld Stranger's Wrath isn't on the PS2, the story is told in the CQA/FAQ. It's not EA's fault they couldn't put OSW onto the PS2, it's their fault for saying they could before finding out they actually couldn't.

:

There's no one who says you can't email Raymond to tell him how much you like his work. I'm sure he'd appreciate the appreciation. Us Forumers just try not to bug the Inhabitants. We're all big fanboys, but don't want them to realise it.

Xav im not saying its EA's fault about it not being released on the PS2 but ive just heard people talking and saying that the PS2 couldn't handle OSW but i showed some games that look like they take more power to run the OSW. Yeah and the thing about Mr. Swanland is he is like my artistsic Idol, i want the same job as him and I just don't want to bother him...and A.L.I.V.E. that was the publisher for OWI before EA like in the munch opening cinematic its like: An A.L.I.V.E.(sqaured) experience presents Oddworld Inhabitants.

Other way around. OWI presents an A.L.I.V.E. experience.

A.L.I.V.E. was the game engine they developed for AO. It stands for Aware Lifeforms In Virtual Environments. A.L.I.V.E.2 was the engine they developed for MO.

I thought A.L.I.V.E. was also used for AE as well. Does A.L.I.V.E. support any other games? Just curious.

No, it was specially written by OWI for their own games. I mean, have you seen any games out there that have a gameplay mechanic even remotely similar to gamespeak?

And A.L.I.V.E. was used in AE. I didn't mention it because it was the same engine from AO, tweaked to have more capabilities.

Well... I hope it IS for xbox, but I hope it's on other platforms as well or all the folks who don't have xBoxes (or 360s, since it's more likely to appear on the newer generation console) can play it too.
I mean, c'mon OWI. The past two games have only been on Xbox. and that ain't fair - the first games are available for everyone with a computer (ah the good old days of Abe in 2D) and now they're restricted. Damn, that's crappy.

And what evil mind the people of OWI make the SW into an EA game?! Oh well, I guessing Lorne made that decision since Stranger has no, "save his spieces from excition" goal. And what was the game speak in that game anyway?

The gamespeak involved being able to speak to other NPCs. Stranger's goal was to stay alive and, later on, to save the Grubbs from anhiallation while finding out the mystery of his people's dissapearance.

True, there was gamespeak in SW, but it wasn't enough for me who's played AO and AE over and over using gamespeak. In SW it was just one button when you approach those extremely annoying and touch - sensitive( when you approach them they bounce off you and say something like " Aw, what the hell!") And the gamespeak with MO wasn't as..comlex. Like, you just had to say "hello" for scrubs or fuzzles to follow you. Right now I'm kinda excited for the new movie that's in progress. I'm still upset about no games though. Oh well
