Is Oddworld what makes these forums?

It seems kind of stupid question, with these being the Oddworld Forums and all, but I think it's a valid one. There are some heavy-duty OTers here who aren't even really fans of Oddworld, but methinks even they'd benefit from having some Oddworld project going on. One that we know about, I mean.

Anyway, the reason I made this thread is, I was recently looking at some old posts (ones that were made while we knew Oddworld works were in production), and everyone seemed a whole bunch more helpful and happy. It was constructive criticism this, and 'you're forgiven' that all OVAH the place. You don't see so much of that anymore. Is it defenite Oddworld news that gives this place its buzz, and if so, do you think that buzz will return when/if we get wind of a new project?

The issue just kind of struck me as important.

Of course it does! You see it's like in a topic that was created a while ago. "When there is a new oddworld project out everyone wants to know more about it. So they go to google and type Oddworld and will probably end up in these forums." So ya that's kinda my answer.

Yes it will. I said it a lot lately, especialy in the topics in the Forum Suggestions board. It's quiet around here now because OWI is realy quiet lately. We havn't heard a single thing in months now. When they make a new announcement it will be flooded with new members and interested people. It will also be a lot of discussion food once again.

Sort of like religion, ain't it?

Prophecies and holy words are eagerly awaited by the followers, and evreytime something around that happens, glee breaks out.

But thats different. I am sure that once an assload of info (or perhaps even the least bit) comes to us, things might gp back the "Golden Age."

Happy

I know Im not anyone to really post in this thread because Ive only been here for a few months, but I used to read YOUR GUYS' posts when I wasnt a member (you knwo, as a guest) for a LONG time and Ive noticed a change in how many people post now compared to then. Big difference.
So I think once we get some info, we will get more exitement and members and posts going on here.

I think the difference in terms of the way we treat each other is that we had a core group of posters who got along and knew each other well. Now most of the posts in GD are newish members and, with so little to talk about, we haven't had the chance to become familiar to each other yet.

of cource without Oddworld I wouldn't be around much.
And I have to admit it's funnyer when there's actually something going on. Now All we can do is turn some known facts all over and over which is tending to be a bit boring.
