Jeez you guys are downers. Anything less than $9.99 doesn't cover the time and energy put in, sorry. Making a game isn't a quick thing: this project has taken a year to make. (For people in the UK, $9.99 is just £5.00) Also, if it is like $2.40 then it just looks like a bad game, otherwise I wouldn't be selling it for that little.

Dude don't think I don't know what it takes to make a game, because I do. I work part time in a game production company as an assistant designer, so I have hands on experience with the industry.
The thing is, you can't "expect" people to just know how much time and effort you put into it. Many games start off giving their game away for free as a beta version just to get some reviews and popularity. You need to build up a base of customers before you start asking for money.
Another thing is, 10 bucks is ENOUGH for people to have to THINK about buying it. What you want is a price that's so low that people don't even care about it. Hey, 2.50, that isn't a lot, it costs the same to buy a sandwich so sure why not. But 10 bucks? I could buy a whole meal with that... I might have to think about whether I want to buy this game... I don't even know if I like the looks of it yet. See what I'm saying? This is what people who visit your site will be thinking. They might be turned off by the price and at the end of the day THAT will cost you more than setting your price a bit lower.
Don't take it like I don't appreciate the work you've put - I know exactly how much work goes into these things and I give you kudos for it. But the fact is the general public not only don't know how much work goes into it, they also don't care, so you shouldn't bank on them considering that when they look at your price tag.
