Munch and Stranger not playable on the Xbox360... yet?

Look at the compatibility list...
The two oddworld games released on xbox won't be playable on 360

On the other hand they are also saying they are working hard to make other titles compatible, so a compatibility isn't 100% out.

I thought all games would be avaible on 360 compatible version.
Oddworld should be on that list :s They deserve it.

They said that they didn't want the 360 to be backwards compatable in an interview in July.

I've reported it on Oddblog, so perhaps folks at OWI will see it and deciede to make a phone call to Microsoft to be sure their games will be playbale on the Xbox360. I want it on the Xbox360!!!

I think I read an article about 360 compatibility in pcgamer, apparently it will ship with some sort of emulator. Some xbox games will be able to play on the 360, but not all (hopefully MO & SW!!). Like you said Xavier, Microsoft are still adding to that list....

But I suspect that Oddworld is low on Microsoft's priority list. After all, neither games sold spectactularly well and really just have a core niche of fans that still remember them.

Is it me or does this alone sounds like an insult to all the games that weren't converted.

(Help the SplinterCell's aren't converted either, and where is Kung-Fu Chaos?

will any xbox games be able to be played on the 360?, i don't think so, since the 360 and the PS3 are so much more powerful than there predessors.........

Yes... the ones that have been put in the compatibility list that Xavier posted. It would appear that the games themselves have been tweaked to be able to run on the 360 hardware.

Yea... for a moment they looked to be doing great with their X-box franchise... then they announce it won't be backwards compatible:

If they don't make it backward compatible, Sony is gonna PWN their ass.

Yeah, this is a stupid move! When there is all those "halo fans" (personally I hate halo) and halo 3 comes out on XBox 360, Microsoft losses a bunch of money!

Say that Bob and Jim both have normal Xboxs with halo 1 and 2. Xbox 360 comes with halo 3 and Bob doesnt want to buy 360 because he still wants to play halo 1 and 2 so only Jim buys a 360 and Bob goes over to his house to play halo 3!

This would probably happen with all the halo fans!

It is going to be backwards compatible you dumbass. As for the oddworld games going on the list I doubt stranger will make it since it sold so porly. Munch on the other hand did become a platinum hit.
