EA did screw OI. That's a given. But that doesn't mean that they are truly to blame for their game developement shutting down. It really began because Lorne Lanning was content with releasing a substandard game. The decision to release MO at about 1/10th of what was promised pissed off a lot of gamers and lost OI a lot of fans.

I was talking about Stranger (and the absence of Abe), which was not at all a substandard game (not perfect, but very good).
As Volsung says, the release date for MO was set in concrete by Microsoft. Whilst games are delayed often, this one couldn't be because it was scheduled for the Xbox launch. It was one of the big four: Halo, DOA3, Project Gotham Racing and Munch. Admittedly it was the runt of the litter, but Lorne has said repeatedly how painful it was for him to release Munch prematurely
